05/10/2025: Magnificent manor house nestled in the countryside. The rooms, despite their old-fashioned decor, are comfortable, pleasant, and very spacious. What really lets it down is the welcome and service. No information upon arrival, the service is not provided (we had requested a duvet that was never delivered to the room), and the contact is barely friendly... It's a shame.

11/12/2025: Obsequious, pretentious, no better than anywhere else but more expensive. And it's not "a train station waiting room, Madam!" This remark was overheard by a waiter directed at a female customer who was with a friend, the latter ordering a drink alone. Shocking. The two friends left immediately.

11/12/2025: There were two of us, and my friend ordered a hot chocolate. I wasn't feeling well, so I passed. The waiter replied, "This isn't a train station, ma'am." We got up and found a very welcoming and friendly café across the street. What a shame!

03/06/2025: We went there last Sunday, and prior going, I tried to call at 1.40, to ensure they were still open, it says 15.00 on Google map, no answer. We still went. We arrive at 14.10, struggled to park, no real parking area, we waited by the patio entrance. We were eventually greeted by a waitress, out of breath carrying plates. We asked if we could eat, we were 2. She mumbled something like, "No, were only two doing the service, and i don't have the time" and she moved on. There were only about 5 tables with customers on the patio. What a waste of a journey going there.

25/05/2025: If you're a foodie, you love nature, peace and quiet, and being on the banks of the Charente River, then you've found the right place. A plate full of originality, homemade bread. Thanks to a service provided in the region, we found L'Amaranthe. Thank you for this wonderful discovery in Port d'Envaux, this pretty little village.

08/09/2024: A meal taken in a magnificent August setting. But very very very long service, to the point that we did not have dessert. We had each chosen an entry, we were brought two identical entries. Then I asked for a rump steak with fries and it was served in the middle of a sauce that tasted like nothing. I ask what it is and he tells me it's the duck with blueberry sauce that I asked for. Never again never again....

Everything is there for an exceptional stay: a soothing natural setting, magnificent, comfortable, and tastefully decorated unique accommodations. You can feel the attention to detail and the desire to create a truly special experience. Perfect for a timeless escape. And the food is simply divine, nothing to complain about. Superb setting, impeccable service, and refined homemade cuisine. A passionate owner who generously shares all her knowledge. We left delighted and with only one desire: to return! 💫

09/12/2025: Hello, We stayed at Domaine de la Corniche. The hotel isn't cheap, and I don't think it offers good value for money. In the room, there was a lot of damaged furniture, and it wasn't very clean. The decor isn't up-to-date. The first evening, we dined at the Michelin-starred restaurant, which was truly excellent, and the second evening at Le 20 du Domaine, where everything was also very good. Regarding breakfast, the staff is less than pleasant; they run out of bread very quickly, and if you ask for more, even at the beginning of breakfast, it's impossible. As for the spa, it's mediocre at best, with mold starting to appear in the changing rooms. The pool area gives the impression that it's unfinished—one part is finished, and the other is bare concrete. The hammam wasn't working. Overall, a good stay with a breathtaking view of the hotel. But €440 for 2 nights seems excessive for this experience. We wanted to thank Vanessa and the sommelier who made a very strong impression on us with their incredible service.

07/12/2025: We had lunch at this restaurant during our visit to the small Christmas market on Sunday, December 7th (group of 6). The menu was excellent, with reasonable prices. The staff was very welcoming. We had a lovely time. I recommend it.

15/11/2025: Restaurant-Bar located in the center of this beautiful "village of character." Reopening since October 24, 2023, with new owners, rewarded by the return of customers! The food has moved upmarket with a reasonable price of 31 euros for the full menu. As for the dining room service, it's friendly and very efficient. Pleasant terrace in good weather.

The chef's burger was a treat. As were the desserts. The staff is very friendly and the place is also very beautiful. The service was also fast. I recommend this place.
