As for the food, it was impeccable. Beautifully presented and truly excellent, the fish was cooked to perfection, and the samphire was a real bonus. We recommend it 200%!

13/08/2026: I was looking for an open crêperie near Grand-Champ, and I wasn't disappointed at all with my evening at L'Épi d'Or! The buckwheat galettes are simply exceptional, the filling is high-quality, and the presentation is beautiful. The cider is artisanal and fragrant; it would have been perfect a little chilled. I recommend ordering the dry cider, as it was already quite sweet. The menu is extensive, offering a wide variety of both savory dishes and desserts. The owners of this crêperie are incredibly kind and genuinely care about our well-being, as well as that of our four-legged companion: they offered us water without us even asking, in the sweltering heat. I recommend sitting on the terrace for a more relaxed atmosphere; however, it's very popular, so if you'd prefer a quieter, more secluded spot, you can go inside, which is quite pleasant, and you can even watch the chefs cooking right in front of you. I recommend it! Note: My relatives who took the Atlantic route told me that the leek fondue was very peppery.

The welcome at the Gève refuge is warm and genuine, in an exceptional setting: nature, tranquility, horses right next door… a little corner of paradise, which must be incredibly charming in winter too. As for the food, it's a real treat: the "Route 62," a delicious nod to the North, and an absolutely remarkable trout. Special mention also goes to the desserts: walnut tart, blueberry tartlet… right down to the tart shells, everything is homemade! Making your own dough requires time, butter, expertise, and a lot of work. So, kudos for championing true homemade cuisine down to the smallest detail. Thank you for the welcome, the food, and this wonderful experience. A place that's definitely worth a visit!

Two dining rooms, two atmospheres, and both magical: on one side, an authentic buron (traditional shepherd's hut) that still seems to carry the spirit of those who once worked there; on the other, a more modern room offering a breathtaking panorama of the Aubrac plateau. On the plate, generous, authentic, and delicious cuisine that showcases local produce. The welcome is warm and the service attentive, with a generosity that makes you feel instantly at ease. In short, a truly wonderful place, full of charm and authenticity, from which we left enchanted. An excellent memory that we will cherish from our time in Aubrac!

16/08/2026: A truly wonderful gourmet restaurant with very reasonable prices considering the quality and quantity of the dishes. All the staff are incredibly friendly and pleasant. Even our little dog was treated like royalty 😉 Well done, don't change a thing, we'll definitely be back.

29/03/2026: Very disappointed. I've never had any problems before. They made two mistakes with the dishes despite informing us. We were served a bottle of water without a glass, then told they were out of glasses. A waitress passed a dessert over the back seat of the sofa – very poor service. Another waitress picked her teeth with a toothpick in front of the counter, making very loud and unpleasant mouth noises, before going to serve customers. It's a real shame; a lack of professionalism and class. The restaurant's image is important, and that's precisely what the servers are there for.

24/07/2026: We chose the Auberge Campagnarde Ailloud, a local venue whose owners we already knew very well. What a joy to be able to celebrate our wedding in a place so dear to our hearts, in the heart of the village where the bride grew up. Just a stone's throw from the village center, yet nestled amidst greenery and traditional buildings, the inn offers an absolutely magnificent setting. The natural charm of the place is almost self-sufficient and ultimately requires very little decoration. The large tables with their wooden tops create a real "wow" effect on their own, enhanced by a few carefully chosen decorative touches. We had access to the venue from Friday morning to set up our secular ceremony, and then inside the inn as soon as service was over. This allowed us to calmly prepare for our wedding, without any stress, and even to enjoy dinner on the terrace with our wedding party and close family the night before the big day. Catherine guided us throughout the entire setup process, offering invaluable advice and allowing us to arrange the spaces exactly as we envisioned. This allowed us to comfortably accommodate our 130 guests for the cocktail reception and 75 for the meal. We held our secular ceremony in the meadow adjacent to the inn. The space was more than adequate for all our guests while still providing a dedicated area for refreshments during our couple's photo session. We had also planned for gazebos as a backup in case of bad weather, but thankfully, they weren't needed! The inn's parking lot, along with another just a few dozen meters away, made parking incredibly easy for all our guests. The cocktail reception then took place on the inn's terrace, shaded by trees and surrounded by lush greenery. The setting was absolutely stunning and was a hit with all our guests. The group photos were taken in front of the magnificent flowerbed near the terrace, allowing everyone to fully enjoy the cocktail hour. All the activities we had planned took place, including the ribbon game with the groom's bottle. As night fell, we lit the garlands and lanterns we had added to the bistro lights already set up by the Bazin family. The atmosphere was magical. We served the cake and champagne outdoors before being dazzled by the fireworks display that our loved ones had arranged as a surprise. The evening continued on a dance floor that was packed all night long. Our guests danced until after 5:00 a.m. in an incredible atmosphere. A huge thank you to Catherine and the Bazin family for their availability, kindness, and trust. We couldn't have dreamed of a more beautiful place to celebrate our wedding.

15/07/2026: An unexpected stop but a wonderful surprise! Very warm welcome. The set menu was simple but delicious, with REAL sauces. The dessert was incredibly light and flavorful.

21/06/2026: We ate at this small restaurant, which had a beautiful and tastefully decorated interior. We received a very warm welcome from the staff. We ordered the €38 set menu per person (starter, main course, cheese, dessert). The cuisine was refined, and we were particularly impressed by the sausage terrine. The flavor was excellent, and the portions were very generous. The only slight drawback was that the dishes were a little lukewarm. We recommend stopping by for a meal when you're in La Rochelle.

20/06/2026: We came for lunch today and had a wonderful time. Upon arrival, we mentioned that I was gluten-free. The set menu (starter, main course, dessert) was adapted to my dietary restrictions at no extra charge, and always with a smile, which was much appreciated. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal from start to finish. The dishes were excellent, the service was quick and attentive, and the entire team was very friendly and welcoming. A truly great place with excellent value for money.

20/07/2026: Having stopped in Rognonas with my wife, I made a reservation at this restaurant for a Saturday evening. The setting is superb, a beautiful restaurant both inside and out. We received a very warm welcome from the owner and were served perfectly. A smile and a genuine atmosphere are extremely important to us, and we found these qualities during our evening. As for the meal, it was flawless. The mille-feuille of tomatoes, mozzarella, and pesto was simply divine. If you're ever in the area, don't hesitate. I highly recommend this establishment.
