The asparagus starter was undercooked, the fish was a small fillet of sea bream served on a bed of peas and broccoli, cold as if straight from the fridge, and the dessert was simple: three tasteless strawberries drowned in industrial whipped cream. All this for €48 per person without wine.

04/08/2026: This is my second time stopping at the Au Canons d’Or restaurant in Hazebrouck, and once again I'm not disappointed! The service is quick, the food is delicious, and the welcome is always warm. The owner and servers are pleasant, smiling, and attentive, which contributes to a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. A great place that I will gladly return to every time I'm in Hazebrouck. I highly recommend it!

16/08/2026: Like something out of a Kitchen Nightmares episode! The night before, we wanted to eat at the restaurant, which was half empty. The owner told us it was "completely full" for that evening. We made a reservation for the next day at 9 pm. When we arrived, in an empty dining room, the owner forgot about us and greeted the customers behind us, who were "embarrassed" to admit we had arrived earlier. He seated us, forgetting the carafe of water. We quickly realized we were going to be waiting a very long time to be served. No one was eating at our table. After a 25-minute wait, following numerous requests, a waiter finally took our order: two Pyrenean cheeses and a bottle of cider. We took the opportunity to ask for a carafe of water, and he said, "I'll bring it right away." We were still waiting 15 minutes later. This wait allowed us to "fraternize" with other restaurant patrons who were just as bewildered as we were by the situation. We ended up helping the servers by fetching water ourselves or preparing plates to help with clearing. A series of mistakes piled up: bad wine, bad crepes, forgotten cutlery. We wondered if we were on a hidden camera show. One of the servers, all of whom were very friendly (which explains the final rating I gave the restaurant), explained that "there are only two of them and they have to do everything themselves." I would have gladly accepted the excuse, but the repeated service errors were, in my opinion, unforgivable and stemmed primarily from an organizational problem. In conclusion, I wouldn't discourage anyone from going to the creperie. The crepes were good (even if we got "péguères" instead of "pyrénéennes" 😅), but the restaurant's rating is clearly inflated. Don't be in a hurry; you'll be in the restaurant for at least an hour and a half. Looking back, I have very fond memories of the trip; we had a lot of laughs!

07/08/2026: Absolutely exceptional burger! I had a fantastic time with my whole family, and the staff were super friendly. I was served with a smile, even though it was quite late, and everything was perfect, including a delicious dessert and digestif! I highly recommend it if you're looking for a place to take your family.

04/08/2026: We stayed at Appart'City, right across from the restaurant, and because of the rain, we ended up at Le Bureau where we were very well served by Livia. We ate very well. We recommend this restaurant.

04/08/2026: Everything is always perfect at the tavern. The waitresses are extremely kind and attentive to the customers, the food is delicious, and the frogs' legs are perfectly cooked. We go there regularly and also bring friends to spread the word about this establishment. Kudos to Monique and her assistant Valentin, as well as to all the staff.

28/07/2026: Excellent value for money. One major drawback: the owner gives absolutely no initiative to the otherwise very experienced waitresses. She's the only one who takes orders, unlike everywhere else! So we waited from 12:20 to 12:45 just to place our order!!! YOU HAVE TO TRUST YOUR STAFF!!!! Apart from this disconcerting detail, the place is worth a visit.

23/07/2026: Excellent experience! The service was pleasant, with a friendly and efficient team. We were served quickly and the crepes were delicious. We're on holiday in the area and will gladly return before we leave. A place we highly recommend!

04/07/2026: Two visits. The first was fine. I also sent a group of about 10 people there, who seemed satisfied. My second time: if it doesn't taste like paella, doesn't look like paella, and doesn't contain any of the paella ingredients (pepper, tomato, saffron...), then IT'S NOT paella, unless I can pay with napkin rings and pretend they were euros! As for the service, what can I say? I've experienced some of the best: no interest whatsoever, no gesture of goodwill (let alone a gesture of goodwill, which was completely foreign to them), because "I'm just a waiter"! The manager urgently needs to train all his employees in all aspects of their job, and at least teach them how to apologize. As for a smile, forget it. On the other hand, the second person apparently had a good meal. That's something, at least.
