15/12/2024: We couldn't wait to discover this much-vaunted place. We came for brunch. The plates are not very garnished unlike the photos I saw online... sweet plate with 1/2 teaspoon of granola, 1/2 teaspoon of cottage cheese or yogurt and a slice of chestnut cake and a very small portion of memory compote…. Cold savory plate too bad because the cold fried potatoes are not extraordinary but we nevertheless had a good time. So slight frustration but we will come back for a second attempt because it may have been an end of service or an “off” day….

15/12/2024: A perfect place for a winter brunch. The Christmas atmosphere and all these plants give the room a cozy atmosphere. The food was also excellent!

Free-range chicken with its exceptional sauce cut in front of me, (choice of piece and generous portion), mashed potatoes. For dessert, I fell for the chocolate mousse, beautifully presented, excellent! Great experience.

23/01/2025: Friends, carriers of celiac disease, you can go there with your eyes closed, indicating “gluten-free and lactose-free”. The chef will adapt the menu and you can eat almost like the others. He removes the sauces in which the spices or ingredients may contain traces of gluten, he toasts the bread separately to avoid cross-contamination in the toaster, there is always GF bread, he composes a delicious specific dessert, his sorbets are made house and therefore do not contain traces. In short, he understood everything and deserves to be referenced in gluten-free applications. A big thank you to him for saving us from violent painful crises. If only all chefs could understand the problem 🙏

08/09/2024: Repas du midi à deux, le cadre et le local sont un peu en-dessous de ce que devrait proposer un restaurant qui se veut dans cette tranche de prix (85€ à deux, menu entrée/plat/dessert sans alcool) La cuisine : excellente et qualitative, 90% des produits viennent des environs et c'est très bien. Les plats sont beaux et bons (dos de cabillaud et tempura de legumes, cheesecake de legumes et crevetes et fondant au chocolat), les desserts sont d'ailleurs massifs. Bref on y mange très bien ! Le service : beaucoup d'incompréhensions avce le serveur quand nous l'avons questionné sur les plats mais très gentil et souriant. Attention, ça a traîné un peu en longueur pour prendre notre commande et servir les premiers plats L'ambiance : dommage que ce soit ce local que vous ayez pour votre cuisine, il est petit et c'était assez bruyant le jour de notre repas. S'il vous plaît, enlevez la table à l'entrée ce n'est pas du tout agréable d'être dans le passage des va-et-vient Restaurant de qualité qui gagnerait à être dans un endroit un peu plus grand ou qui devrait refaire le plan de table et la salle car il y a matière à en faire une très belle adresse !

12/08/2024: The owner (who we disturbed enjoying a brief break between the end of his prep and the start of service) managed to accomodate us at no notice, and we are so glad that he did! The food was simply amazing (we had the pig's trotters/ scallops to start and both opted for the truffled chicken, as part of the brilliant value fixed-price menu (which also included a cheese course and desert, as well as an amuse bouche). This was the final meal of our holiday, having eaten at various places in France, Germany, Italy and Switzerland and it was by far the best. The waiting staff were helpful and just-the-right-amount of attentive. As a small chef-owned place, the quality and care shine through. We'll be back the next time we are in Metz, don't miss the chance if you're planning to be there!
