07/05/2026: The service is beyond perfect; we rarely encounter such kindness and professionalism. The food (quality, taste, presentation, and selection) is also perfect. And what's more, it's more than reasonably priced (not even 60 euros for two, including a starter, main course, dessert, aperitif, and wine 😱).
In short, we highly recommend this establishment.

The food was amazing: high quality ingredients, very well seasoned,... We truly enjoyed it.
The service was also impeccable: very friendly, we received good advice on wine,... We would 100% recommend the restaurant and will definitely return if we are around again!

02/05/2026: If you like restaurants that are a little hidden away but well worth the detour, look no further than BAROUDEUR! A cool and energetic welcome, a small, cozy dining room (with tables also available in the pedestrian alley), a varied menu, and delicious food. A nice selection of wines, by the glass or bottle; these guys know their stuff and will be happy to advise you.
In short, a place you'll want to return to.

17/05/2026: Before praising the excellent cuisine, one must acknowledge the refined ambiance: wooden tables with artistically carved edges, comfortable chairs in an elegant dark green, wood paneling on the walls, hand-blown glassware, a Japanese-style restroom with a charming boudoir overlooking a garden, a beautiful open kitchen… The exquisitely flavored dishes are artistically presented – a feast for the eyes as well as the palate. An exceptional experience, with attentive and efficient service.

08/06/2026: Nothing exceptional, but the brunch is good quality with a varied selection. The two service areas are pleasant and allow for easy adjustments if one dish is unavailable in one area. Restocking is done regularly. Depending on the size of your group, you'll be seated at a more or less convenient location. There were two of us, and we were a bit in the middle of the walkway. It lacked a bit of privacy, even though it wasn't a romantic date.

04/05/2026: A wonderful experience. The cassoulet is made in the traditional way and is less fatty than what you might find elsewhere. Enjoyed with a glass of red wine, it was delicious. I highly recommend it.
02/05/2026: We went there to enjoy classic cuisine and we weren't disappointed; everything was good. The semi-cooked foie gras was perfect, and the ravioli with cooked foie gras were delicious. The cassoulet didn't disappoint, though it was more traditional. It's one of the few places in Carcassonne worth the trip. The service was friendly, and they provided excellent wine recommendations.
