09/10/2025: You don't know Preuilly-sur-Claise. If you go there, do as we did and have lunch or dinner at this superb place. The setting is friendly and cool. The dishes are excellent and everything is homemade. Foie gras Lamb sweetbreads Prawn risotto Salmon And a chocolate éclair to finish, all accompanied by a few glasses of chignon. Not to mention the owner, who is available, helpful, smiling, and professional. Go there with your eyes closed.

16/01/2026: A truly wonderful restaurant in Nothalten. Waegell offers generous and flavorful traditional Alsatian cuisine, prepared with high-quality ingredients. The dishes are hearty, authentic, and true to the recipes of our region. I particularly recommend the platter of potato pancakes with smoked salmon and salad. The setting is warm and typical, with an authentic atmosphere that gives the place its charm. The welcome is friendly and the service attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. A restaurant to recommend without hesitation for anyone wishing to discover or rediscover authentic cuisine. Catering service available. Parking.

18/10/2025: Being Alsatian myself, I can promise you, that you won’t find more authentic than here. Built in an old wine vault. It is a family affair, you are welcomed by the grandpa, food is cooked by the son, and served by the spouse of the grandpa. Food is amazing and they only serve typical and fresh food (here for example wild boar from hunters of the village nearby)

Five stars overall, and it's well deserved. This is a place where you feel comfortable, with truly excellent cuisine. It's not fine dining, but it's very good, generous portions, and, again, excellent in every respect. Keep up the good work, and you'll continue to bring smiles to food lovers. Great place. 15/02/2026: Thank you for the wonderful time we spent together; it was exceptional. We came for Valentine's Day. Congratulations to the chef and his entire team. From the cocktail hour to dessert, my taste buds were delighted. On paper, the dishes were simple, but in execution, they were exquisite. Every ingredient found its perfect place on the plate, everything blending together flawlessly. A special mention to the chef and his kitchen team for creating a menu for my partner, who is lactose intolerant. They prepared a menu for her at the last minute, and for that, a huge thank you. If there were anything to criticize, I would say that the bread wasn't quite up to the standard of the dinner, but that's nothing compared to the cuisine you prepared for us. P.S.: The photos I took don't necessarily showcase the dishes, but they will give you a taste of the exceptional evening you're about to treat your taste buds to!

15/02/2026: Hello everyone. This Valentine's Day cruise is fabulous. My wife and I usually dress up in our best outfits for this kind of entertainment. My wife is a little sexier than usual, and I think that's obvious to us. Yet yesterday, February 14th, proved us completely wrong, as the women's outfits were particularly dreadful. Jeans and sneakers were still the order of the day, and high heels didn't impress us either. Our outfits for grocery shopping on Saturday remained unchanged. It seems women have lost their appeal, unfortunately! Without wanting to impose anything, a dress code could still be suggested in such circumstances. Just a thought. Have a good evening!

05/02/2026: Fourth dinner cruise on the Erdre River. What a disappointment compared to the previous ones: a cold atmosphere, a lack of explanations throughout the journey, poor acoustics, and mediocre musical entertainment, even though there used to be a dance floor. As for the food, I'm still looking for the virgin sauce that was supposed to accompany my sea bass fillet. The pastries were dry and tasteless. Very disappointed for this wedding anniversary.

02/12/2025: What can I say? The food was reasonably good, the service pleasant, the waiter was friendly despite his lack of formal training, and the dining room was empty while the other restaurants on the square were full. The value for money was definitely lacking. Two things really disappointed us. First, I asked the waiter what vegetables were in my dish, and he couldn't tell me. When we came back, we learned that the chef had gone home, and the waiter explained that the kitchen assistant was running the show. Second, we were refused an upgrade to a higher-priced menu because, and I quote, the waiter said, "I ask at the beginning because I don't know how to upgrade the menu when the bill arrives." So we ended up paying full price for a starter/main course plus dessert, even though a three-course menu (starter/main/dessert) was available. This is the first time this has ever happened to us.

13/11/2025: A family-run restaurant that doesn't look like much from the outside, but where the welcome is incredibly warm. The portions are generous, the flank steak was excellent (I arrived too late for the paella, which looked very appetizing and plentiful). From the mother at the counter and with dessert, to the father in the kitchen, and the sons serving, everyone is incredibly attentive. I'll definitely be back for next year. Have a great holiday, see you next year!

28/01/2026: A fantastic place! The dishes are simple but expertly prepared. Everything was truly delicious, from the amuse-bouche to the little madeleine served with the coffee. The waiter was very friendly. A wonderful discovery, just the kind of place we love. Go for it!
