17/05/2026: Fabulous à la carte brunch; the Sunday roast concept fits perfectly into the menu. I thoroughly enjoyed it and loved the atmosphere. The Malongo latte is very generous. We were comfortably seated and well looked after! So much better than impersonal buffets… A wonderful experience to repeat!

We stopped by on our way, received a wonderful welcome from the owner, and were served by Nathan, who was both competent and pleasant. 20/12/2025: Beyond golf fans who know and appreciate the place, this is the right address for those who wish to change their horizons and experience, for example, a sunset on the terrace overlooking an ocean of pine trees and greens (where you can see deer), especially since the welcome is really friendly and the home-style cooking is excellent!

16/12/2025: As a group of 47, we received a very warm welcome, excellent service, and a delicious meal. The presentation of the dishes was very satisfying, the hot main course was delicious, and the dessert was original. I highly recommend it.

06/12/2025: A fantastic find! This place truly deserves to be talked about. In Saint-Arnoult, at the Bistrot du Grand Manège – the restaurant at the Pôle du Cheval (Equestrian Center) – everything is homemade, the food is generous and delicious, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the service is impeccable. The owner took over the establishment in January, and you can feel his passion in every detail. Excellent value for money. A real gem.

24/11/2025: When things aren't going well, you should speak up, but when things are going well, you should speak up too. A fantastic restaurant with excellent value for money. You can confidently book a table in this place with its wonderful setting.

12/12/2025: Great traditional mountain style food. The croziflette was excellent, service was quick and nice. There is the possibility to eat raclette as well, which makes the place very warm so don't wear too many layers!

12/06/2026: We spent a weekend there as a couple. What a shame! There was no kettle or coffee maker in the room... No slippers for the spa or tea corner. We didn't like being seated next to other people in the restaurant, even though there are several dining rooms... it lacked a cozy atmosphere. The meal wasn't exceptional, even though there were four courses for the price we paid. Outside, there was no space by the pool; all the lounge chairs were occupied by towels, but no one was sitting there! To top it all off, we were charged for drinks we didn't order... What a shame for such a beautiful establishment! We don't recommend this hotel...

10/06/2026: What a place to turn 40. 🎂 We spent three nights at Hostellerie des Châteaux on half-board for my birthday and left genuinely happy. The location on the Alsace Wine Route, at the foot of the Vosges, is beautiful, and the property's 2,500m² spa with its pools and saunas gives you plenty of reasons not to leave. The restaurant is the star. ⭐ Each dinner opened with an amuse-bouche, the courses built with real intention, and on our final evening the kitchen surprised us with an unprompted foie gras pâté and a full cheese course. The sommelier deserves his own mention: deep knowledge of Alsace wines, recommendations tailored to our table across all three evenings, and the single biggest reason the dinners will stay with us. 🍷 Breakfast matched the standard: a fresh juicing station, egg station, proper pastries and well-chosen local cheeses. The half-board is worth it. We also slept very well. Some honest improvement notes for this lovely family-run property to take it to 5 stars: - the rooms haven't kept pace with the public areas and the website imagery (and the artificial grass roof, not really nice to look at from the window.. why? 😄) - the pool was way too crowded and the website image shows much less recliner seats when the area was rather cramped at times especially on the weekend. - tea/coffee facilities and individual toiletries in the rooms would lift the experience (they only have a body wash in the shower - an opportunity to improve) - menus in English/German and dietary alternatives (vegetarians etc) would serve the international guests better - the pool bar closing at 18:00 on a warm summer evening, feels way too early but I saw the staff had to rush to the lobby bar (perhaps hire more?) - strength training options would complete the gym which currently has cardio only. - tvs didn’t have any working English channels and the ability to cast to the TV wasn’t properly advertised, perhaps add a proper TV smart guide? None of this took away from a wonderful stay and a birthday to remember. Thank you to the whole team, and especially the restaurant and bar team. 28/03/2026: The owner insults customers; they are disrespectful and rude. Above all, do not go there if you want to eat.

16/03/2026: We had a lovely meal here last night. Many other places nearby were closed but we took a chance on here and were not disappointed. Portions were large, food tasty and freshly prepared. The waiter was very nice and attentive and we really enjoyed the experience. We noticed an outside eating area with a play area so we will return when our grandson visits in the summer as this eating set up will be ideal.

14/05/2026: Lunch today, arrived at noon. Everything was fine until dessert... We never received dessert, despite asking twice. It wasn't anything extravagant: one dessert of the day (pre-made, I think) and a scoop of ice cream.... Even the woman at the table admitted it was shameful. She offered us drinks on the house, which was the least she could do.... Many of the tables around us seemed to be occupied by friends of the owner; it appears there's a different level of service for strangers. We won't be returning and we don't recommend it.
