25/04/2026: My friends and I booked a table on TheFork. We arrived, and the waiter told us the discount wouldn't apply because we'd booked less than an hour before our arrival, claiming the app was "only used for advertising to fill up the tables." He also advised us against sitting next to a group because "they're always yelling" (very professional). Initially, he refused to give us the 20% discount, even though he'd just given it to the customers in front of us. Then, he said he'd make an "exceptional" exception. He had us cancel the reservation, and then, strangely enough, the 20% discount disappeared for new bookings on the app, even though we'd checked beforehand. Next, the discount was only valid for one person. Then, it was only for one dish. The platters were included in the promotion, which only excluded drinks, but they refused to honor it because "I only offer the promotion to one person, and one person doesn't eat a platter alone, so I only cover a third of it," while blaming the owner, even though he's "only" the "manager" and should be paying out of pocket. What followed were increasingly vague and contradictory explanations. We pointed out that these practices were illegal and misleading, but strangely, there was no response; they simply ignored us. I was constantly interrupted, and when I pointed it out, the "manager-waiter" left without a second thought, empty-handed. We were told that this was just how it was done, even though we regularly book through TheFork and have never encountered this kind of behavior. Speaking of practices, generally, a gesture of goodwill is made when there's been confusion on the part of the establishment. A complaint for misleading business practices will be filed.

07/05/2026: I love coming to Basilic and Co. in Grenoble Albert 1er! Whether you eat in or take away, the quality is always there. The menu changes seasonally, and the service is fantastic!

The pizzas are truly excellent, made with quality ingredients and original recipes inspired by local produce—a refreshing change from typical pizzerias. The crust is thin and crispy, and the toppings are beautifully showcased. Fast service, friendly staff, and a pleasant atmosphere. A sure bet in Grenoble for a great pizza; I highly recommend it!

Meanwhile, I observed two waitresses on their break, smoking a cigarette and drinking coffee—nothing unusual, but it was unacceptable that they were mocking the customers, assuming that tourists don't speak French.
