24/04/2026: We came as a couple to eat at this place, having reserved a table. We weren't sure if the restaurant was open because there were no tables set outside and no sign inviting us in. As a result, no one greeted us, and we waited 15 minutes in front of the entrance without knowing we had to go in. Once inside, someone came to greet us and seat us, but I found the welcome rather lukewarm. We ordered, and the waitress seemed completely out of it, but the order went smoothly. The food was very good, but the prices were a bit too high for what was offered. The desserts were also a bit pricey. Overall, a good experience despite these minor issues. I recommend coming to discover original cuisine and a calm atmosphere, but be prepared to spend a fair amount of money considering the prices.

21/04/2026: We came here late afternoon and had lunch here. We find the food here is good. French onion soup was flavorful and my salmon was fresh and juicy.

19/04/2026: While out for a walk, we stumbled upon this lovely little bistro. The staff were very friendly and the food was excellent, especially the raclette burger. Superb!

The room was spacious, with very comfortable bedding and individually controlled heating and air conditioning. Breakfast offered a wide variety of choices and was very good. However, the person who served us that day didn't say a single word while we were having lunch. I recommend this hotel.

16/05/2026: Despite the crowds this Ascension Day long weekend, we managed to find a little haven of peace. We were comfortably seated in cozy armchairs, the beer was excellent, but what was truly surprising was the professionalism of the waiters, including our own.

Enjoying the terrace overlooking the sea, we received a very warm welcome, and the four different main courses and four different desserts were a hit with everyone. Not to mention the excellent whisky. Thank you for a wonderful evening on the Basque coast.

06/07/2026: The food is exceptional, undeniably so... however, there are a few minor issues with the service. Having worked in restaurants, I know you never bring glasses without a tray; it's a rule! And if possible, all the glasses should be brought at the same time. The idea of ​​serving tapenade as an aperitif is a good one, but the bread should be brought in proportion to the number of people! Regarding the manager and the time she spent at a single table chatting at great length, it might have been a bit distracting. A good place nonetheless.

11/06/2026: The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and very pleasant. The mattress was particularly comfortable, which greatly contributed to the quality of our stay. Breakfast was varied and offered a wide selection. However, the food could be improved. During a multi-day stay with half-board, the lack of variety in the meals quickly became repetitive. Furthermore, the quality of the dishes did not meet our expectations: several items seemed to have been simply reheated rather than freshly prepared.

25/05/2026: Authentic cuisine, very generous portions. The aligot, the pounty, the terrine, the Saint-Nectaire fondue 😋 everything was excellent! Quality service, special mention for Jules and his good humor.

07/03/2026: A very pleasant Logis de France-style hotel with lovely decor, located very close to the boat landing for a boat trip in the Marais Poitevin. Nice!

25/05/2026: We stayed at the Hotel Saint-Alban for a wedding. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The breakfast was varied and fresh, with a special mention for the bitter orange marmalade, which was delicious. The hotel staff were also very friendly. Thank you to Philippe for his restaurant recommendation in Sète; we thoroughly enjoyed it! We will definitely return if we are ever in the area again.

06/06/2026: We had lunch at the Auberge today and were very satisfied. The meal was excellent. Frank and his partner are lovely. Enjoying delicious duck confit in good company on that beautiful terrace and finishing with a delicious homemade dessert—what more could you ask for? Life is good!
