24/05/2026: Last Friday, a 20km round trip was well worth it. The very peaceful square opposite the village church is a highly recommended spot. The food was excellent, and the staff were pleasant and attentive, which was a nice bonus. Highly recommended.

25/05/2026: An excellent restaurant! The service was superb; we were visiting Saint-Nazaire and called at the last minute, and the owner found us a table and gave us a warm welcome. The presentation was beautiful, the dishes delicious, and everything was flawless! We highly recommend it.

19/05/2026: A fabulous discovery. I rarely take the time to write reviews, but La Table du Boucher absolutely deserves it. Refined cuisine with distinct flavors. We opted for the €29 set menu, and it was unbeatable value. Sandrine, who served us, and Nicolas, who was in the kitchen, provided us with a delightful gastronomic experience and a warm welcome. We will definitely return and will even make a detour to try the new menu.

15/06/2026: Extremely disappointed!!! We came as a family intending to eat and have a pleasant time. Our son simply didn't want anything as he wasn't feeling well. We then discovered that here, even a child who isn't hungry or thirsty has to order something to be allowed to stay seated at a table. Faced with this situation, we decided to leave. The most surprising thing isn't what we experienced, but rather realizing afterward that many reviews seem to describe experiences similar to ours. We thought we had just caught them on a bad day. Clearly, several customers before us had the same feeling about the service and how certain situations were handled. Reading the responses to the negative reviews, we mainly got the impression that self-reflection was never offered and that blame was systematically placed on the customers. Yet, when the same complaint is repeated regularly, it can be helpful to examine its cause rather than assuming that all customers are necessarily at fault. We ourselves work in customer-facing roles and know that a business thrives thanks to its clientele. Listening, kindness, and a strong sense of service should be second nature, especially in a tourist town where visitors are primarily looking for a pleasant experience. Whether she was a waitress or the owner, regardless of her role, we found this person particularly unprofessional and unpleasant. No smile, no listening, no desire to understand the situation or find a solution. We felt that our presence was more of a nuisance than anything else. When working in retail and food service, customer service and interpersonal skills should be a priority. Unfortunately, this is absolutely not the impression we received today. A very disappointing experience that leaves us with no desire to return. We left without ordering anything, but with the feeling that we now fully understand why some negative reviews appear so frequently. Finally, the woman indicated that she would be happy to respond to my Google review. I therefore have no doubt that a reply will arrive soon. If this is yet another example of asking customers to “respect your profession,” then I urge you to reflect on what this profession truly represents. Respect for the restaurant industry begins with a warm welcome, a smile, attentive listening, and consideration for customers. These are the fundamental principles of the profession, and unfortunately, this is absolutely not what we experienced on Saturday, June 13, 2026. For our part, we will not be returning. If you have children who don't want to eat, avoid this place!

16/05/2026: A pleasant experience during my visit to Alençon... it was very busy because of the rain (and even snow!), so the service was a little slow, but the smiles made up for it, which was more than enough 😊! The only slight downside was that the tart was a bit overcooked and therefore a little hard, but it was still very enjoyable. I'll be back :)

Throughout the meal, we were constantly surprised and delighted by the dishes we tasted. Each plate was as refined as it was delicious, with perfectly mastered flavor combinations and a presentation worthy of a work of art. A true attention to detail was evident in both the service and the cuisine. It was much more than just dinner: a true culinary and sensory experience. A huge congratulations to the entire team; we will return with great pleasure. A special mention to our server, who was exceptional throughout the meal. Always smiling, attentive, and incredibly friendly, he greatly contributed to making this experience even more enjoyable. We particularly appreciated his kindness, professionalism, and all his thoughtful touches throughout the evening. Thank you for the impeccable service and wonderful energy. Also a big THANK YOU to Chef LAVAUX who graciously offered us two glasses of champagne for my wife's birthday, along with a card kindly autographed for the occasion.

Once seated at your table in a quiet corner, you are greeted by a charming waiter who goes out of his way to ensure your comfort and describe the dishes you are about to enjoy. These dishes are truly original, both in terms of flavor and culinary expertise. The chef is delighted to come and meet you and share insights into his cuisine or the history of his restaurant. A truly wonderful experience that I'd love to repeat.

03/06/2026: We were very disappointed with our two burgers, the Rocamadour and the duck. They lacked sauce, the bun was very soggy, and the steak we ordered was rare, but it was served medium! The sliced ​​duck was very dry. And let's not even mention the ridiculously small portion of fries! We regularly eat burgers at this restaurant. But last time it wasn't great either. We figure these things can happen, so we give it a second chance! But this time it was truly awful. We told the waiter, who apologized and said he would pass the information along. He offered to offer us coffee or a digestif, which we appreciated but declined as we weren't interested. We won't be back and we won't recommend it.

30/05/2026: Particularly friendly staff, but with a division of tasks among themselves, meaning things don't move very quickly. Bavette with fries and salad was tasty and affordable. Lots of local customers, which is a good sign.

06/06/2026: At arrival, We did not have a reservation but the team seemed to want to accommodate that. However, once we mentioned we had children with us, the attitude changed and we felt as if they did not want to seat us due to the children. The place was empty at the time we got there and they kept saying that they have a small staff team & can’t accommodate us. Insisting they were full and couldn’t seat us. How could they be able to serve a full restaurant with such a small team then? This felt discriminatory and their attitude towards us after finding out we had children was honestly shocking.

10/06/2026: It's actually quite nice there, but watch out for the bill. Pleasant area both inside and out, the staff is friendly, helpful, and multilingual. The Fischer draft beer is excellent. The food is okay. The portion (especially the side dish) could be a bit larger. But then came the surprise with the bill. The wine ordered by the glass arrived in 0.2-liter glasses, but I was charged for 1/4 liter. The veal strips were listed on the menu for €19.50, but the bill came to €21. Unfortunately, I only noticed this after leaving.

09/06/2026: Nice restaurant. The tarte flambée was very good. A good selection of dishes as well. Plenty of tables for four and six people. The staff is bilingual. I will definitely visit again.

02/07/2026: Located in an industrial area next to a nightclub, the restaurant's entrance is unassuming, but inside the dining rooms are warm and inviting, and the shaded terrace is very pleasant. The service is efficient, the portions are generous, well-presented, and of good quality, and the owner is very friendly. Enjoy your meal!

11/06/2026: Dinner and dancing, but no dancing in the restaurant area. Regarding the change of ownership, it seems the new owner hasn't continued the dancing option... a shame. We came from far away.

29/05/2026: We were invited by the bride and groom to this rather pleasant venue. The rooms are nicely laid out, although the restrooms are in the basement. Aside from that, it's a very beautiful hall, ideal for weddings, anniversaries, or other gatherings.

16/05/2026: We catered our wedding reception with Forêt Praud. We are absolutely delighted we chose them. Ms. Praud was able to understand our needs and offer helpful advice. The excellent organization meant we had no stress whatsoever. On the wedding day, the service was superb and the meal delicious. We received very positive feedback from our guests. They also opened an extra room for our cocktail reception due to the bad weather. We had our post-wedding reception there, and the cold buffet was also very good. You can book them without hesitation. A huge thank you to the entire team for making our day so special.
