10/04/2026: A small restaurant nestled under the arcades of Montluel. The food is excellent and homemade, with reasonable prices. The owner is welcoming and friendly. He was the only one serving that evening, so we waited a little while, but that's understandable given he was alone and the restaurant was full. We'll be back soon before he retires.

04/04/2026: A superb discovery! I ate an absolutely incredible bouillabaisse, so much so that thanks to this restaurant, it immediately jumped into my top 3 favorite dishes. The flavors were perfectly balanced, the fish was incredibly fresh, and the broth was truly exceptional. Special mention also goes to the service, which was perfect from beginning to end: warm, attentive, and very professional. You immediately feel at ease. An address I recommend without hesitation!

05/04/2026: Wonderful food with a lovely waitress. Very small so be sure to get a reservation. The duck and lamb were both superb.

04/02/2026: Mediocre food for a low price. The owner is completely lost, lets her dog poop in the restaurant, and takes away a plate after one bite because it was meant for another table. Update: I'm sickened by this, so I've taken off one star. Yuck.

Whether you come for a special occasion or just occasionally, it's always a pleasure in this warm atmosphere. The quality of the food is not compromised: you'll find excellent cuisine that perfectly reflects the spirit of the place. My advice: stop by, you'll have a wonderful meal and leave with a head full of memories.

06/03/2026: Came all the way from Tokyo hunting for cassoulet and Restaurant les Fabricants did not disappoint! Excellent ambience, delicious food, kind staff - a real gem! English menus and very friendly English speaking staff will make you feel right at home. The cassoulet was incredible, and the portion enormous (it was too much for a solo diner but I tried my best). Will definitely visit again on my next trip to Paris.

04/03/2026: A truly strange experience. The card reader is hidden solely to force you to pay in cash, making you believe they don't accept cards. You have to fight for several minutes to finally pay by card. Otherwise, the food is decent. The portions are generous, but some of the ingredients leave something to be desired. It's a real shame it ended like this.

26/04/2026: Summary: Food Quality: Very Good Ambiance: Good Value for Money: Very Good Service: Good Parking: Good Cleanliness: Good Location & Surroundings: Very Good Prose: At the end of April, we discovered a small but excellent restaurant in France that impressed us so much that we've already dined there five times this year. Lunch consisted of fresh oysters of exceptionally high quality: meaty, flavorful, and perfectly chilled. The combination with the onion vinegar is particularly recommended; it elevates the oysters to a whole new level. A refreshing, well-chilled white or rosé wine paired perfectly with them. Another highlight was the shrimp with garlic mayonnaise—fresh, aromatic, and simply delicious. The owner is exceptionally kind and helpful, and the service is friendly and unobtrusive. The value for money is remarkably good: For the quality and freshness offered, you pay significantly less here than in other countries (Austria, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Spain). The location is also convenient: Parking spaces are usually available nearby. After your meal, you can enjoy a pleasant stroll or a refreshing swim at the nearby nudist beach. The beach was surprisingly clean at the end of April, much cleaner than many comparable beaches we know from Italy or Spain. In conclusion: An authentic, uncomplicated, and high-quality restaurant that impresses above all with its excellent oysters, the friendly owner, and the outstanding value for money. It's advisable to avoid peak hours, as it gets very noisy then, and cleanliness suffers. Anyone in the area should definitely try this restaurant; we will certainly be back.

19/04/2026: We arrived on a Sunday at 1 p.m. Our order was taken with a smile upon arrival, and we were told there would be a slight wait due to the restaurant's high volume of customers, which is usually a sign of quality. But apparently, the "you'll be served in 5 minutes" turned into a 1 hour and 15 minute wait for each customer on our terrace. Yes, the products are fresh and meet our expectations. The terrace was full, but the least they could do is apologize and not blame the chef "who's on top of things"—that's no excuse. They are undoubtedly good oyster farmers, but we still have our doubts about whether they are restaurateurs. During the wait, we weren't even offered a bread basket because, and I quote, "it's extra." It was served with two small pats of salted butter. Ponpon on the Garonne River, we arrived at the register and waited 15 minutes. Getting lost in paper order forms and having to repeatedly call on colleagues because disorganization is a cornerstone of their establishment. Blaming the customer for not knowing their table number is quite surprising. In conclusion, the place is great, the products are fresh and sourced, but don't expect to be served in a hurry and don't expect any kind of discount at the end of your meal. 15/03/2026: A wonderful surprise to discover this delightful restaurant in Thiers, which offers excellent Auvergne specialties. A warm welcome, a cozy atmosphere by the fireplace, and very reasonable prices. I highly recommend Le Chaudron.

02/05/2026: Dinner for two with two set menus and a glass of white wine. Total around €60. I hadn't noticed they didn't accept restaurant cards... The waitresses were pleasant. However, we found the food expensive for the quality. The potatoes were swimming in oil. The salad wasn't amazing. The Lyonnaise cheeseburger looked tempting, but we didn't find it exceptional.

30/04/2026: This is our second time at this restaurant and it's been pure bliss. The staff is lovely, so attentive, and makes you feel truly welcome. As soon as we finish our meal, our plates are cleared away, and we're served with a smile. The waiters and waitresses think of everything and are incredibly responsive. The food is excellent and very good value for money. We'll be back again and again! Thank you to the whole team!

29/04/2026: April 2026 Update: My experience was much better than the previous one. I was very well received by the staff, served quickly, and everything went smoothly. I have just adjusted my rating accordingly. Disastrous experience. 20 minutes to place an order and over an hour's wait... without being served! We left the restaurant. Before leaving, the waitress apologized but informed us: "We will cancel your order as it wasn't yet in the kitchen." Even after an hour, the order still hadn't arrived in the kitchen!!! This is absolutely ridiculous!

24/03/2026: A well-known restaurant with a good reputation. I ate there a few years ago, and it was a lovely experience. Unfortunately, it will be my only visit because today my husband and I weren't allowed in with our stroller—a refusal we accepted. My two-year-old son was asleep, so I couldn't fold the stroller and leave it outside as the waitress suggested. However, right after us, a couple came in with a pram (a very large stroller). I didn't appreciate how it was handled or how it was said. So, personally, I won't be going back.
