03/11/2025: Two friends and myself visited the area for a long weekend mountain biking in the summer. After swimming in the lake we had lunch at the restaurant and can’t speak highly enough for them. Food was great as was the service. But there was something so nice about the atmosphere. A real mix of nationalities, friends and just families having a nice time. The manager / owner seemed to have it so well organised. Well done and we will be back. Thank you Steve and friends from Wales 👏👏

23/01/2026: Ton specializes in tartares with an impressive selection, and it's a friendly place. I wasn't adventurous and only tried the classic tartare. The fries and salad were good, but the baguette was dry. It's a bit out of the way. Excellent service.

"Les Tontons du 14" has everything you could want in an authentic neighborhood bistro—increasingly rare these days.

26/10/2025: It's always a pleasure to come and eat at the Peplum. The waitresses are friendly, and the value for money is excellent. The fries are very good, as is the pitta. Probably the best pitta plate in the area. That's why we came from Maubeuge.

The service was impeccable, both discreet and attentive. As for the cuisine... flawless! Each dish was a sensory journey: remarkably fresh ingredients, subtle and bold flavor combinations, all perfectly mastered. A special mention goes to the 7-course menu with wine pairing: a pure visual and gustatory masterpiece. A huge congratulations to the chef and the entire team for this enchanting experience. A treasured address in Gérardmer, to be recommended without the slightest hesitation. We will be back with great pleasure!
