Quiet location on the edge of the picturesque village, with numerous impressive hikes accessible both directly from the hotel and within easy driving distance. The Atlantic coast (St.-Jean-de-Luz!) is also reachable in about 30-40 minutes. Large pool. Excellent cuisine (vegetarian menus with fish instead of meat are available; purely vegetarian or vegan options are difficult).

The food: Delicious! All our guests raved about it. The ambiance: The outdoor seating is beautiful and inviting. The service: Warm, attentive, and completely professional – we wanted for nothing. Many thanks to the entire Simbachmühle team for this unforgettable day. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this wonderful restaurant in Alsting!

As a traveler staying briefly in the neighborhood, I felt very lucky to have stumbled upon this place. Mambo is incredibly welcoming and makes you feel right at home. She's funny, quirky, and very relaxed and calm even when there's a line of people waiting to talk to her. The icing on the cake was the young man who served us, who was smiling, friendly, full of humor, and offered great advice. Definitely not to be missed!
