03/06/2026: I arrived at the restaurant to find it completely full, and Christophe, the waiter, went out of his way to find me a table for three, even though I showed up without a reservation. It was a truly delightful experience, and the meal was delicious, including the daily special and dessert. The location and setting are absolutely perfect... just imagine... only steps from the Corderie Royale! I highly recommend this restaurant, and thank you again to the waiter.

27/02/2026: I've been going to this restaurant for over 25 years. Le Sampa is a must-visit in Montauban, both for the quality of its food and the warm welcome from its staff. A cozy atmosphere in winter and a superb terrace in summer, right in the heart of the city. The dishes are excellent and flavorful. A real treat. The owners always greet you with a smile and are attentive to their customers' well-being. A winning combination for a restaurant that has stood the test of time thanks to the impeccable quality of its service. Excellent value for money too. I love it and highly recommend it! A must-try for those who haven't yet discovered it…

30/05/2026: We've been coming to the flea market every year for the past 10 years, and sometimes to the restaurant. Coming from Besançon, we always receive a warm and friendly welcome. During the rhubarb festival, as I'm disabled, there's always a space available in the private parking lot. The fried food, whether served on a plate or in a paper cone, is excellent. In short, it's a very welcoming place ❤️.

21/06/2026: A very good meal; the ingredients were high quality. The dining room is pleasant, though it doesn't match the restaurant's entrance, which could give the impression of something less than pristine. There might have been a slight inconsistency in the cooking (but the chef is working alone, and his wife is serving). However, you need to be patient (2.5 hours for Friday evening's meal), so it's best to have something to talk about. There's a clear lack of organization, leading to long waits, such as 40 minutes for a chilled bottle of rosé (which was very good), even though we had specified that one bottle for two would serve as an aperitif. In short, a good meal—we thoroughly enjoyed it—quality wine with a wide selection at reasonable prices, but the service was too slow.

04/07/2026: We came for a Perrier on a sweltering afternoon, and we felt like we'd arrived completely uninvited. No smile, just a "hello, what would you like?" Then "that's it." Well, we would have hoped for a less cold welcome, unlike the Perrier itself, which was barely chilled and without ice...

11/06/2026: After exploring the Puy du Fou theme park, what a superb place to eat! Not a single flaw from start to finish. From aperitif to dessert, everything was excellent. The €33 set menu offers remarkable value for money. We started with a delicious salmon tartare, fresh and perfectly seasoned. For our main course, the trout fillet was of exceptional quality, accompanied by flavorful carrots and a small, absolutely delicious creamy risotto. To finish, a French toast like I'd never tasted before: melt-in-your-mouth tender, topped with exquisite caramel and served with a small scoop of vanilla ice cream. A true delight! All accompanied by a very good white wine that perfectly complemented the meal.
