05/08/2026: A stop we made while passing by on our motorcycle, but one that's definitely worth planning. A super friendly welcome, top-notch service, and exquisite cuisine! You can tell the chef loves his work and shares that passion with us. We adored the very relaxing setting; we almost forgot about the nearby road. Zen and tranquil, a superb meal; this is truly a place to share! ❤️ (A very clean and tastefully decorated little spot)

28/07/2026: The restaurant would have been quite nice if it weren't for the constant, noisy traffic of motorcycles and cars. It's a real shame! Yes, it's definitely more suitable for a gas station than a restaurant... UNESCO classifies it but doesn't seem to care how their site has evolved over the years. Here, the road is more like a speedway than a road! The place has lost its charm. It feels more like a motorway service area than anything else...

The service was efficient, friendly, and attentive. The chef introduced herself at the end of the meal. Go without hesitation!

19/07/2026: We celebrated our wedding anniversary today and La Couronne was the perfect choice. The appetizer, main course, and dessert were an absolute culinary delight. The beef, the pike-perch, and the ravioli were all lovingly prepared, and the sauces made for a perfectly harmonious meal. The service was incredibly friendly and attentive. Thank you so much for the wonderful evening; we will definitely be back.

20/07/2026: I rarely leave reviews, but the reception we received from the cashier this past Thursday, July 16th, at 7:15 pm justifies this review. We had called before coming to check the latest opening time, and the person we spoke to confirmed that the fish shop was ready to welcome us. Upon our arrival, the three staff members were already tidying up. The cashier's tone of voice, sighs, facial expression, and overall demeanor made her annoyance obvious. We pointed out that we were the ones who had just called. It made no difference. When my brother, who had gone to park the car, joined us, she asked, "Are there still others arriving?" A customer already seated at a table watched the scene, glancing at us several times, his eyes wide, clearly bewildered by what he was witnessing. When it came time to choose our fish, we asked for advice. We weren't given any real advice. When I mentioned that my brother was the one among us who knew and appreciated fish the most, the first question we were asked was, "So, what's your budget?" There were four of us men. None of us had mentioned any price constraints, and the products offered were mostly priced between 10 and 30 euros. We were simply asking for recommendations on fish. We then chose our fish and placed our order, which also included tarama. We asked for bread to go with it. We were initially told that they were out, that the establishment got its bread from the neighboring bakery, which was going to close, and that it would be "complicated." Someone eventually went to get some, and a first basket was brought to us. While we were eating, we saw the employees eating the same bread. When we asked for another basket, we were told that they were out too. If the team no longer wished to receive customers at 7:15 pm, they simply needed to let us know when we called. We would have come another time. Making us travel there, then making us feel from beginning to end that our presence was a nuisance, constitutes a profoundly disrespectful and unacceptable level of service.

19/07/2026: Incredible!!! We came to Viot simply asking for a takeaway platter, hoping to sample a little bit of everything. We didn't give them many details and trusted them to put together the platter. The restaurant's reputation is clearly well-deserved. The prices are higher than elsewhere, but the quality more than justifies them: it truly rivals that of an excellent gourmet restaurant. Each fish had its own unique character: incredible textures, impeccable freshness, no unpleasant odors or aftertastes, only very refined, delicate, and nuanced flavors. You can tell they've put a lot of thought into the selection, cutting, and combination. Every bite was different, and the whole thing was a veritable feast. It's probably one of the best raw fish platters I've ever eaten. An exceptional experience that I recommend without hesitation.

08/08/2026: I ordered a shrimp risotto and I didn't like it! The rice was simply boiled and with cream it didn't taste like shrimp, and the grilled shrimp were tasteless. The burrada, however, was very good.

08/07/2026: Excellent place, 6 stars! Fresh, seasonal products, perfectly executed. Harmony of flavors and seasonings (house-made). It's beautiful and delicious! Friendly, passionate, and engaging owners and servers. This place is truly worth the detour, the antithesis of tourist traps. Clean premises (including the restrooms), well-designed space, and comfortable furniture. We'll be back! Excellent value for money.

05/08/2026: We stopped for a coffee and breakfast. Excellent, as was the apple streusel yogurt cake, which was absolutely delicious. Add to that a warm welcome and you have a wonderful time.

23/06/2026: The working waiter was very angry. We told him to take the empty glass. I have a lot of work, he said something like you are sitting. Then I went to ask for a product, it went wrong with me again. I stopped saying anything. The tea is also terrible

Throughout our meal, both the servers and the owners offered helpful advice, not only on the dishes themselves but also on places to visit in the surrounding area. We even had the opportunity to hear about the history of the restaurant and its unique, welcoming design. A truly wonderful experience, both personally and culinaryly. Thank you! 22/07/2026: Fresh, delicious, local, simply perfect! The service was also fantastic, and they even had coloring supplies for the kids. And the ice cream was absolutely delicious 🤤 You can browse for ages in the shop outside and discover some lovely treasures. We cycled from here to the park of Versailles; it's a great place to park our camper. In short: A hidden gem, not too touristy, incredibly delicious and fresh, and a great starting point for exploring Versailles 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
