06/05/2026: We received a very warm welcome. We explored Martel on foot, leaving our car in the hotel parking lot. Our room for three adults was spacious, functional, and clean, with quality bedding. The breakfast was generous, and we hope to enjoy the restaurant again sometime. We wish your chef a speedy recovery and all the best. Thank you for your advice on visiting the Padirac Cave. 05/04/2026: Wonderful food with a lovely waitress. Very small so be sure to get a reservation. The duck and lamb were both superb.

04/02/2026: Mediocre food for a low price. The owner is completely lost, lets her dog poop in the restaurant, and takes away a plate after one bite because it was meant for another table. Update: I'm sickened by this, so I've taken off one star. Yuck.

03/03/2026: We came for lunch on a whim. All the tables were reserved on a Monday. The owner offered us a fantastic solution: a table for five outside. The service and the owner's attentiveness were simply perfect – friendly, competent, and very generous. We enjoyed a delicious 2023 Puligny-Montrachet from Domaine Jomain as an aperitif! The owner then brought us a complimentary tasting of a Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru "Les Perrières" from Domaine Bzikot, a truly wonderful wine. Highly recommended. A very generous gesture. We ordered our meals individually from the menu. Every dish was exquisite cuisine at a fair price. Bravo to the entire team! I highly recommend this restaurant. Fantastic Burgundy cuisine at a very reasonable price. We will definitely be back!

12/04/2026: This is a place I regularly go for lunch, and I always enjoy it. The menu is fairly consistent, with dishes available year-round, complemented by a few seasonal offerings. The daily special, however, changes every day, making it easy to find something different. My go-to dish is the Asian-inspired tuna dish, which I order almost every time I visit: a wonderfully fresh, well-balanced, and consistently excellent dish. You can tell the ingredients are fresh and expertly prepared, with generous portions. The cuisine is simple and effective, but always with a little twist that makes all the difference. The setting is pleasant, and the service is charming and very attentive. The restaurant also has a terrace for sunny days, as well as a small private room, ideal for a business lunch or a group gathering. In short, a very good, reliable, and high-quality lunch spot where you can enjoy delicious food in a friendly atmosphere. I highly recommend it.

15/05/2026: A very bad experience at L’Annexe, which had been recommended to us for having the best galettes on the island. We called at 6:30 pm to get a table and were told to come early and that there would be space outside. Upon arrival, the young waiter seated us inside, which suited us. A family who had booked two days earlier arrived afterward and found no room. The owner very rudely came to check our phone to see if we had the correct reservation. To avoid any trouble and to be able to eat what we had ordered, we offered to move to a table outside and give ours to the family. We ate freezing with our children in an icy wind. Blankets were provided. The owner came back to check that we had been told to sit outside on the phone, but his employee had seated us inside, which wasn't our fault (indeed, tables are sometimes canceled even at the last minute). The daily special galette with spider crab was nothing special, apart from the price. When it came time to pay, the owner made matters worse, even though we had been polite enough to leave our table. Reservations are very poorly managed, and the customer is completely disregarded. Compensation would have been appreciated. Very unprofessional, which is a real shame given the location and tourist traffic. Special mention, however, goes to the very pleasant, smiling, and efficient young waiter.

09/05/2026: Highly recommended restaurant. Excellent food, welcome, and service. The €30 set menu was very good value for money. The foie gras was superb, and the sea bass with its delicious garnish was a real treat. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The staff were always smiling and friendly. A wonderful discovery to share, and best of all, it's right across from the beach. PERFECT, THANK YOU!

17/01/2026: Excellent establishment! We were able to have lunch there thanks to a Smartbox offer and had access to the entire menu. The galettes were very good, generously filled (the homemade tomato compote was excellent), the price was attractive, and the service and welcome were as good as the meal! Don't hesitate, honestly.

From the very first bite, the spaghetti carbonara, Le 85 style, impresses with its generous portions and refined take on a great Italian classic: a perfectly mastered texture, deep flavors, and remarkable balance. The chicken supreme with morel sauce is simply exquisite. The cooking is tender and precise, enhanced by a smooth and fragrant sauce that lends a real elegance to the dish. As for dessert, it's absolutely essential: the combination of pistachio with vanilla ice cream is incredibly delicate, indulgent without being cloying, with a touch of freshness that perfectly concludes the meal. This is an address that truly deserves to be discovered for the quality of its cuisine, the care taken with the presentation, and the overall dining experience it offers.

16/05/2026: A little gem tucked away on a street corner in the Plantagenet district of Le Mans. The welcome is very friendly, the decor quite historic with its engravings, tapestries, and interior architecture: fireplace, beautiful stonework, and French-style ceilings. The set menu is an unbeatable €20 for a starter, main course, and dessert. The ingredients are high quality, and you can tell it's homemade. Kudos to the owners for this excellent offering. Top-notch value for money and quantity for price.

27/03/2026: The room was adequate but very basic; there was no kettle (for coffee or tea) in the room, not even a bottle of water! The room was dark. The bathroom was clean but nothing special, and the shower head was in poor condition.

The service was excellent, and the welcome and service were superb, all within a charming and lovely building.
