22/01/2026: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Successful change of ownership! A very pleasant surprise at Le Français restaurant. The dishes are delicious, of very high quality, and above all, very reasonably priced. Another major plus: the easy access and the option to eat at any time, from noon to midnight, which is truly appreciated. A halal restaurant to recommend without hesitation! Djamel Hammour

08/12/2025: The best brasserie that we visited during our Paris trip! Not only was the food delicious and incredibly flavourful, but the service was also 5 star! We were served by the beautiful Daisy who couldn’t have been a better waitress! She was always smiling and laughing with us and was extremely kind and gave us the best tips for Paris. She works so hard and deserves a pay rise for all her efforts! We recommend the moelleux au chocolat especially - i wish I could have the recipe as it sent me to heaven 😍😍😍 we will be sure to come back on our next trip !!!!!! What an amazing meal!!!

29/06/2025: Lousy welcome, we waited 20 minutes to be told that the kitchen was closed. No politeness, we clearly seemed to be annoying them. No water, no answer, no milk for a coffee. Close if you don't want to work.

26/01/2026: The restaurant was well-located with a pleasant view. The food was quite good. The meat was cooked perfectly, but the portion of fries was a bit small, especially considering the price. The dessert was good. In short, a decent restaurant in a pleasant setting, but the view comes at a price. The service was excellent, no complaints there.

06/12/2025: A perfect place for a quick meal, simple but effective cuisine. I had the 250g butcher's cut of flank steak with homemade fries and smoked salmon. The meat was high quality, and the lemon-basil sauce for the salmon was excellent. The service was top-notch; don't pay attention to the bad reviews... Try it for yourself, you'll be surprised; the team is very professional. I think Philippe Etchebest's visit was very beneficial to them. An address I'll definitely keep in mind for my next trips to Brive. See you soon, keep up the good work!

01/01/2026: What a shame, it could have been amazing! The buffet was practically cold, and the prices were only revealed at the last minute... There were no prices displayed on the website, and different prices were shown in the restaurant... Luckily, the owner was incredibly friendly and helpful.

17/12/2025: Following the cancellation of Amir's concert, we ended up here. The friendly owner played Amir's music for us. There were eight of us singing along... and we had a good meal. Thanks to the chef!

A warm and inviting room available all day, perfect organization from the first contact until our guests' departure, a delicious menu made with homemade and garden-grown produce, and unbeatable value for money. A thousand thanks to Sylvie and Alain for your welcome, your professionalism, your kindness, and your determination to make this moment unforgettable. It was truly a success on all levels. As for the gîte, we felt like we were in a cozy family home, surrounded by unspoiled nature. We look forward to seeing you again soon.

30/12/2025: Help! A Thursday evening with colleagues...horrible, a glacial atmosphere...the food was mediocre at best...only three tables in the dining room, and they served us frozen fries...

21/12/2025: We came for lunch today. The service was very good, with friendly and pleasant waitresses. We ordered the homemade foie gras and the Caesar salad. On Sunday lunchtimes, the menu is indeed limited, which I can understand. However, the value for money was disappointing. The €17 foie gras consisted of three very small slices, about the size of sausage slices… 😱 I've had much better homemade foie gras, in larger portions, and for less money. The €15.90 Caesar salad, meant for a meal, was clearly lacking in garnish and dressing. I usually take photos of my plates, but this one was really unappealing. The only positive aspect of the meal was the revisited lemon tart, which was very good. Unfortunately, we won't be going back.

28/11/2025: My wife and I had a wonderful time; the welcome, the very cozy and subdued atmosphere, and the excellent and refined meal made for a pleasant evening.

16/11/2025: Lunch by the lake in this autumnal setting adds a significant touch to the refined and delicate cuisine, especially the fish dishes; I'll definitely be back in the warmer months to enjoy the terrace :) The staff is friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend it. Thank you for these delightful experiences :)
