18/09/2026: Restaurant Charles III in Nancy offers simple but decent food, nothing to complain about. The staircase leading up from the terrace really needs a refresh. It looks a bit shabby and detracts somewhat from the overall impression. It's a shame, because a little sprucing up there would make it much better. Have a good evening.

18/09/2026: We came to eat there by chance the first time, and we have nothing to say except that we received a very warm welcome and our meal was delicious. We returned a second time and were again warmly welcomed by the owner, despite being from the Amiens area (80) – a little joke so he would recognize us! Don't hesitate to stop by; you won't be disappointed.

14/09/2026: Despite the crowds (it being market day), we managed to get a table inside. The set menu (main course and dessert) was very affordable, and we enjoyed our meal. The owner was helpful and honest. Good business. We'll definitely go back when we're in Sarlat-la-Canéda, but we'll remember to book in advance.

15/09/2026: We had a wine tasting event here for 15 people and had such an incredible experience! Caroline was absolutely fantastic and made the entire evening feel special, welcoming, and effortless. She guided us through the wines in English, which was perfect for our group, and explained everything in a way that was both interesting and easy to follow. The wines themselves were amazing, and the space created such a beautiful and memorable atmosphere for the evening. You can really tell how much care goes into every detail. Everything exceeded our expectations, and we couldn’t recommend the experience enough. Thank you again to Caroline and the whole team, we hope to be back soon!

04/09/2026: We stopped by for lunch after visiting the Eiffel Tower. Thierry, the owner, and his staff were all so amazing and friendly. The service was wonderful, and the meats and cheeses were absolutely memorable. We chose a white wine from the Loire Valley and it paired exquisitely with our meat and cheese plate. The staff even confirmed that our wine was an excellent choice. They also made sure to check on us if we needed anything and made sure we had enough bread to go with our order. Thierry is genuinely nice and gave us recommendations for restaurants that were superb. We truly wanted to come back to this place for another lunch but we will have to make it back when we visit Paris again. Thank you, Thierry and staff! Our experience in Cave Vino Sapiens will be remembered very fondly. Until next time!

28/08/2026: A welcoming restaurant that serves quite late; we arrived around 1:45 pm and were welcomed without any problem. The place was full, but we managed to get a table for two. We ordered the €22 set menu, which included shrimp mayonnaise as a starter, followed by mussels and fries and a sugar crepe. We also had a local Chardonnay wine from the wine list and Pineau des Charentes as an aperitif. We enjoyed our meal, and the staff was very friendly. Afterwards, we took a short visit to the Chassiron lighthouse, which is right next door.

19/06/2026: Avoid at all costs! A tourist trap that's dangerous to your health A dreadful experience from start to finish. We came to eat as a couple, and the result was catastrophic: Deplorable freshness and cuisine: The mussels (Marinière dish) were completely bland, mushy, and mealy. Even worse, an abnormal number of flies were swarming over the dish. As a result, my colleague and I suffered from severe stomach aches almost immediately after leaving the table. Everything pointed to spoiled products. The shrimp, meanwhile, were served barely lukewarm. Nonexistent hygiene: Seeing the waitress petting dogs on the terrace and then immediately serving plates without washing her hands is simply unacceptable for a restaurant. Service and ambiance: An immeasurable wait time (20 to 30 minutes for simple mussels and fries and a very basic crepe). Don't be fooled by the location: the setting is nothing special, you can barely see the sea. In short, a pure tourist trap that relies solely on its proximity to the Chassiron lighthouse. Avoid it if you value your health.

26/09/2026: We're usually always happy to go to Septime. Today will be the last time we go there. We waited an hour before being served, and four tables arrived after us (16 people in total) but were served before us. When I mentioned this to the owner, she told us the young waitress had just started and that we should excuse her. I understand her reasoning. We were also given a carafe of hot water, not room temperature water, but hot water. I asked if any compensation could be offered. I mentioned that we were there with my husband and two minor children. The owner offered us a spiced rum. I explained that we don't drink alcohol (a beer as an aperitif is enough). She also offered other drinks, but we weren't thirsty anymore since we'd already had an aperitif. I asked if it would be possible to offer some kind of discount instead. We hadn't ordered dessert yet. (Why not offer a free dessert?) But the owner refused and stuck to her position, offering us a drink instead. I told her we wouldn't be having dessert and that I was very disappointed. She refused to make any concessions on the price. She reiterated that I could understand because the young waitress had just started and was allowed to make mistakes. I completely agree. The young waitress wasn't at fault, but the owner could provide more support to her new employees instead of chatting with acquaintances. She is therefore responsible for the mistake, not the young woman. And it's not up to us to bear the responsibility for the owner's error, but hers. I wasn't asking for much, no alcohol or drinks, but perhaps just a beer I had with the complimentary aperitif or a free dessert. Nevertheless, the quality of the products is undeniable, but despite this, the owner is unfriendly, unpleasant in her speech, and doesn't take responsibility, so we will never return. What a shame.

24/09/2026: Mixed experience, the staff are kind and helpful, but the food is not up to par, the beef tartare is too strong in mustard, the prawn wok is too salty, only the homemade fries are good.

07/09/2026: The staff were very pleasant, the mountain pasture platter was a delight, as was the blueberry tart. Our dog was welcome and had a large bowl of water. Eating on the terrace with a magnificent view was pure bliss.

29/09/2026: What a disappointment for a restaurant listed on La Liste! Dishes were too salty, some items were missing from the menu, the side dishes were identical for both meat options, and the service was extremely slow (the glasses of wine arrived at the very end of the meal). I regret it for the price.

11/09/2026: Discovered by chance during a stroll, I immediately sensed this restaurant would be exceptional. The numerous recommendations in the Rough Guide confirmed this first impression. And indeed, what a fantastic experience! Inventive and delicious cuisine, a real treat. The service was also particularly friendly and uncomplicated. The dining room has a unique character. We'll be back!

22/09/2026: It was crowded, but once the wait was over as night fell, this tour of Paris and its beautiful monuments from the Seine was simply magical! The moment seemed to stand still, transporting us to a time when artisans played a vital role in building the Paris we love! I highly recommend it.

22/09/2026: NOTE: we sailed midday, night cruises may offer different experience. Seeing Paris for the open advantage of the Seine is a unique experience but not a good as I hoped. Being below city street level, with trees in bloom makes it difficult to see some sites as well as you’d like. The audio was also off as they need to cycle through languages when announcing sires to see. More than once the pointed out something too early or late. The convenience and efficacy of see river side sights is nice.
