24/04/2026: Peaceful location, very welcoming atmosphere, and excellent cuisine made with fresh ingredients. Excellent! Attentive and refined service. Shaded courtyard. Just 10 minutes from the highway. It's definitely worth the detour.

12/05/2026: This Michelin-starred hotel and restaurant is very well located on the road south. The enclosed and secure courtyard (included in the room price) for parking is a real plus. The rooms are classic and the bedding is of very good quality. The restaurant is pleasant with well-spaced tables. The service is a bit old-fashioned and traditional, but the meal, while also quite classic, is outstanding. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

11/05/2026: Back at Le Carré d'Aléthius after more than 12 years… and our love for it remains undiminished. We discovered this magnificent restaurant during a family trip years ago, and on our way back from the Aubrac region towards Switzerland, we decided to stop there again. What an excellent idea! Everything was perfect from start to finish: refined cuisine, full of elegance and mastery, impeccable service, and a smiling, attentive, and genuinely pleasant staff. The wine pairings were also remarkable, with some truly wonderful local discoveries. This lunch was a truly timeless experience, a pure moment of happiness and indulgence. It's always a great pleasure to visit Le Carré d'Aléthius. Thank you to the entire team for this incredible experience and for your consistency over the years.

The disappointing points: exorbitant (and prohibitive) prices, the temperature of the galettes (the two Norman galettes arrived barely lukewarm), and the chilliness of the dining room. And to top it all off: the owner rather abruptly refused our payment method. Even though it was good, it's only a 3.

18/02/2026: We stayed at the Hotel Le France and had a lovely time. The reception staff were warm and professional, and they were friendly and attentive, which was much appreciated. The room was renovated, clean, and comfortable. One minor drawback was the heating: the radiators seemed to need bleeding, and adding a radiator in the bathroom would be a real plus for comfort, especially during cooler weather. Apart from this, we had a very pleasant stay and we recommend this hotel.

If you are a novice to champagne and the world if wine you will enjoy it, if you are advanced you will learn something and try something new and unexpected in the world of grower champagne. Additionally, should you find yourself buying some extra bottles to take with you, you will enjoy stellar customer service! This place is a uninue in the world of wine, particularly in Paris. 27/03/2026: What a great find! Just around the corner of the hotel we were staying in, we stumbled upon this small grower-producer Champagne store. We had a great conversation with the Somm, Marc Anthony. We participated in their champagne tasting of 4 producers - all different styles. It was a great educational experience and it was nice to seeing smaller producers get a venue to display their champagnes. The tasting was in their cave below the shop, which was from the 17th century and was so cool. Marc Anthony is very knowledgeable in Champagne and we asked him to curate a case based upon our profile he gathered from the tasting. He was very engaging and enjoyed ourselves while learning more about champagnes. Definitely put it on your visit list when you are in the Paris area.
