07/05/2026: Hello, I went to this establishment on Tuesday, May 5th, to have a drink on their beautiful terrace, but it was empty. I went into the restaurant to ask, and I was told that Mondays and Tuesdays were reserved exclusively for hotel guests, and for others, it was only from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM! I wonder how this very restrictive establishment operates!

27/04/2026: We ate at Albatros, on a friend's recommendation. Good atmosphere, very good food, friendly and attentive waiters. However, we waited over 40 minutes for our desserts, probably because they were defrosting... What a shame!

04/06/2026: A new restaurant for us to try. Tucked away in a tiny village serving wonderful French food and a selection of very good local wines. I booked for a Wednesday evening. First impressions; tiny village with a privately owned chateau. It's situated opposite the village hall. We parked there but there is parking for the restaurant outside the front. It's really a traditional French restaurant, dark, exposed beams with a small bar area and probably 25 covers. The menu had just changed, not extensive, a choice of four starters, four main dishes and four desserts. I chose artichokes in a mushroom sauce and my wife goats cheese in filo pastry, main dishes, sweet breads in a wonderful cream sauce and salmon, desserts creme brulee. For those English who are squeamish about sweetbreads try these, they were fantastic. We also ordered a bottle of Pecharmant. The owner was chatty and his wife is the chef. The only downside and this is a real shame is that we were the only two in the restaurant. Since Covid many village restaurants are really struggling. If local people, ex pats and tourists who are interested in wonderful food don't support them they'll dissappear. We have now compiled a list of outstanding local restaurants, small but what we consider some of the best local produce cooked to perfection. If you, like us want wonderful French food try this restaurant, you won't be disappointed. Would we go again? Absolutely.

24/08/2025: A wonderful discovery, both for the location and the food and service. You can feel the passion in what they offer. We had a fantastic evening on August 14th on the terrace overlooking the garden. I highly recommend this establishment.

10/01/2026: A real treat!! Meals donated to SAMU 59 for a shift… it warmed my heart and it was excellent!!! (Pesto prawn salad and garlic stir-fried beef with Thai rice, perfect!)

20/05/2026: The waiter was clumsy and rude, and constantly trying to upsell us on more expensive options and refusing to speak English. Food was ok. I wouldnt come back in a hurry.

20/05/2026: Absolutely perfect dinner! The food was fantastic and the service from Matt was flawless. Great food options and the Kir was a great accompaniment.

14/04/2026: A great find! We stopped in Sainte-Anne-d'Auray for lunch on Tuesday. The food was excellent and reasonably priced (€20 for the set menu with main course and dessert, €10 for the children's menu, €19 for the burger of the day, and between €7 and €9 for desserts à la carte). We all thoroughly enjoyed our meal! The only slight downside was the somewhat slow service, but the quality of the food more than made up for it.

09/04/2026: A typical restaurant in Saint Anne d'Auray. Great atmosphere. Simple and good food.

21/06/2026: Eleven of us were there for a wedding anniversary. The restaurant has the feel of a private home, giving the impression of being at home with family. The service was attentive and the food was excellent. The regional cuisine is evident from the first bite, with a subtle hint of Maroilles cheese. Everyone found something to their liking and thoroughly enjoyed their meal.

15/07/2026: Overall, a very good brasserie. The food is tasty, the portions are decent, and the atmosphere is pleasant. The service is friendly and the staff is welcoming. A few minor points could be improved, but it's still a good place to spend a pleasant time. I'll gladly return.

29/05/2026: 🎂Excellent family time 🎉. We came Wednesday evening to celebrate my son's birthday and had a wonderful time. We were lucky enough to dine on the terrace in a very pleasant and friendly atmosphere. 🤗 Thank you to the owner and his entire team for their warm welcome and kindness. 😋 The meal was excellent, the dishes delicious, and the service impeccable. 🎉Everything came together to make this evening a success. ❤️We highly recommend this restaurant and we will definitely be back! 🙏 Thank you again to the whole team for this wonderful time 🥰. 16/05/2026: We had a wonderful time at L’Annexe. The dishes were excellent, beautifully presented, with truly homemade cuisine and perfectly balanced flavors, without being overpowering. The cheese and onion croquettes were delicious, indulgent, and very well executed. The beef was tender and flavorful, as was the perfectly cooked pork cheek. But the real surprise was the dessert: rice pudding with meringue, crumble, red berries, and black sesame ice cream. An incredible mix of textures: crispy, melt-in-your-mouth, the freshness of the fruit, and the unique flavor of the ice cream. A dessert as beautiful as it was delicious. Congratulations to the entire team for this wonderful experience and such a pleasant time. We will gladly return.
