27/08/2025: I asked for a café crème to go and specified that I wanted it poured directly into my own cup. Unfortunately, it was served to me in a cup. I therefore had to transfer the coffee myself into my cup, which was inconvenient. When I explained the situation, I was rudely told that it was not my role. Furthermore, my cup was only filled a third full and I didn't even get any sugar. It was a shame, because I would have liked to have had a more respectful and attentive experience. I do not intend to return, despite the fact that I live right next door.

A restaurant where you feel right at home, with a simple, unpretentious lunch menu, but made with love, using good ingredients, and that rivals the often prettier but worse and more expensive cuisine of most restaurants. 13/10/2025: Huge disappointment and deep unease at the closing night of the Bizarre festival, at the À la Folie bar (La Villette). One of the bartenders wore a Burzum sweatshirt. For those unfamiliar: Burzum is the musical project of Varg Vikernes, a musician, yes, but also a murderer, church arsonist, and neo-Nazi ideologue convicted multiple times for inciting racial hatred. Seeing this kind of reference in a queer venue, supposed to be an inclusive and safe space, is completely unacceptable. It betrays a blatant lack of vigilance, or worse, a form of complacency in the face of hateful symbols. It is unthinkable that a queer bar would allow this type of message to be conveyed, especially during a festival supposed to celebrate LGBTQIA+ struggles and marginalized communities. It's a serious casting error, or a worrying cultural blindness. The minimum would have been an immediate reaction. Here, nothing, as if this kind of symbol had no meaning. It's not enough to claim to be "queer-friendly" or to organize themed parties to claim to uphold our values. This requires consistency, training, and vigilance over what staff members wear and represent. As it stands, I can no longer consider this place a safe space. I hope management will publicly take responsibility, because letting this kind of thing go unchallenged sends a very clear message: far-right ideology can find a place here, even at queer parties. Unacceptable.
