22/01/2026: January 2026: We went back and the welcome was just as warm 😀. We ordered the daily specials (starter and main course for €16): a revisited beef tartare 👍 and pork cheek with mushrooms, which were quite prominent but which I enjoyed (despite not being a big fan of mushrooms 😣). For drinks, we had three glasses of wine (red and white), which were very good. We finished with two cappuccinos. The bill came to €62, which is very reasonable considering the quality/price ratio. September 2023: A very friendly place, and Michel does everything to make you happy with his legendary good humor. He manages to satisfy all his customers with his varied and high-quality choices. Don't hesitate to go; you won't be disappointed.

14/01/2026: There's a reason why the Auberge de Mestre Elie has existed for over 60 years, despite being located in a hamlet of a dozen houses, at the very end of a 9km departmental road that takes you from 700m to 1400m altitude. There's a reason why it has been featured several times on regional and national news programs (and continues to be). It's because it's magnificent! The location is incredible, the charming hamlet of Bouchanières, on the edge of the Mercantour National Park. Its pretty little church, its view over the Var Valley via the Daluis Gorges... The welcome is warm and friendly; the hostess is so welcoming and kind. And of course, the food is superb, from start to finish, with a special mention for Eliane's ravioli, whether you choose the walnut or meat sauce (and I recommend ordering both if you're a large group)... The best ravioli in the world! In short, it's definitely worth the trip, which is why it's still going strong after all these years, even though it's a bit of a drive to get there. It's truly worth it. If you go, you're in luck. Call ahead to make sure the Auberge is open (which it usually is, but double-check and let them know you're coming). And while you're there, take the opportunity to visit the Bouchanières honey farm (run by another family), and explore this beautiful area, see the church, and so on.

23/09/2025: We've made a habit of eating here every time we visit Megève, both summer and winter. A beautiful charcuterie board and unlimited potato pancakes. Local cheese platter with a choice of aged cheeses. Delicious local desserts such as fromage blanc... An unmissable place!

22/01/2026: I stumbled upon La Canca while leaving Decathlon. Intrigued by the lively atmosphere of this little food truck, I decided to give it a try and I wasn't disappointed at all. The welcome was warm and personal, the service quick, the food delicious, and the price very reasonable. I highly recommend doing as I did and giving it a go. I might even go to Decathlon more often now.

22/02/2026: We had lunch at Ty Reuz on a rainy Sunday in February. We received a warm welcome. Everything is homemade. Everything is delicious. The portions are generous. Seasonal ingredients. Suitable for children. There were even little games on the table to welcome us. A wonderful time! Thank you!

The food is made with love; you can feel it in the presentation of the dishes during service. Everything is very fresh, seasonal, delicious, and beautiful. Thank you for this unexpected stop, a lovely surprise! It's an address I'll keep in mind, with the intention of returning and sharing it with others.
