29/06/2026: Excellent value for money at Buquet's, near the iconic Vaugueux district. Homemade cuisine using ultra-fresh ingredients. Generous portions, beautifully presented, both simple (the surf and turf salad is wonderful!) and always with a thoughtful personal touch. The 2 or 3 course set menu is unbeatable. It's always delicious! And the service is excellent too! It's simple: once you're in Caen, you won't want to go anywhere else!

18/07/2026: Craving a pizza? Unfriendly welcome, low-quality pizza just to quench your thirst. We felt like we were bothering them. I had to get the pizza remade because it was overcooked. Luckily the owner arrived to set things straight because his staff is awful and very rude.

15/07/2026: Thanks to the waiter in the dark glasses in the back area, near Pizza Rocket, for this wonderful customer experience. After looking at me several times without saying a word, he finally explained, without a greeting or any polite greeting, that you only order at your table. One small detail: all the tables were taken. When I pointed out that I was standing because there was no room, his solution was simply to ask me to leave the bar. As a result, I couldn't order a single drink all evening. Luckily, the rest of the staff was much more pleasant and professional.

19/07/2026: 14 euros for a Dame Blanche without homemade chocolate sauce (which the waitress said was cheaper) and another ice cream with two scoops of sorbet. Really too expensive. I won't be going back.

But this establishment has sunk pretty low by accepting a company that regularly offers "free" meals on the condition of attending a two-hour brainwashing session to force customers to buy products at ten times their actual price.

18/06/2026: Extremely unpleasant. The drunk owner came out of his parking lot, started honking like crazy, and spoke very rudely because he's a former taxi driver. Of course, the problem wasn't so much the parking, since we were right next to our vehicles, but rather the "private driver" and "VTC" label he and his taxi colleagues slap on us. They hate us... Unfortunately for you, we had every right to be where we were because we're guests at the hotel next door. I would have liked to have a constructive dialogue with you, but you're stubborn. Oh well, no hard feelings.

19/07/2026: Despite the ideal setting and rather welcoming staff, I was disappointed with the meal: the preparation of the mussels left much to be desired (no cooking liquid from the mussels marinière in the pot) and the fries were store-bought and undercooked. A shame.

16/07/2026: Dirty tables, a dirty and slippery floor, a 30-minute wait for three sandwiches, and to top it all off, the waiter knocked over a dirty customer's tray in my back, leaving me soaked. I quickly got up from my chair, and another employee, clearly in a hurry to get home, pushed past me. The waiter came back, dragging his feet and laughing, to give me some papers to wipe myself with (because apparently that was funny), and he wanted to offer us a free sandwich, which we refused because we had already finished eating. I understand it's a fast-food place and not a fine restaurant, but the lack of respect for the customer and the employees' nonchalance are appalling.
