The location of the hotel is incredible, and we really enjoyed the outdoor jacuzzi and sauna. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end.
When we arrived, the room didn’t look like the pictures advertised, and it was freezing cold upon entry. There was no hair dryer provided, and we couldn’t charge our car, which was an inconvenience. The breakfast buffet was very disappointing, and the service overall was below expectations.
For a price of €270 per night (booked through Staycation), we expected much better. While the setting was stunning, the lack of attention to detail and poor service made the experience not worth the cost.

11/11/2024: Small restaurant in size but very good food with friendly and pleasant service. Short menu but a sign of fresh produce and it’s a treat! An address not to be missed if you are in the area!
04/11/2024: We ate here several times during a one-month stay in Saignon and loved every meal. The food was excellent (when we got home, I immediately set about trying to replicate their chestnut soup). The couple who run the restaurant (he's in the kitchen, she runs the front of house) were always gracious and friendly. They never showed any impatience with my appalling French or my wife's need for gluten-free dishes. We have fond memories of our dinners there and wish them both the very best going forward.

We were very well received, calmly despite the large crowds, it's nice to have a waitress who is calm and efficient. The pancakes were truly delicious, we had a great time!! An address that was recommended to us by someone local and who didn't lie to us. Thank you Carole 😚

12/07/2024: I am extremely disappointed by the cancellation of my reservation scheduled for July 19 due to staff recruitment issues. A cancellation so close to the scheduled date is unacceptable, especially for a reservation made this long ago. The alternatives proposed (meals in the forest or chef at home) in no way compensate for our disappointment and the inconvenience caused. Despite an email, no response from the establishment to take responsibility for their poor management. Based on this experience, I will not book with you again in the future.
08/07/2024: An exceptional experience in this restaurant, focused on themes such as the four elements, childhood, and many others. Each dish reveals a unique richness of flavors. The servers are remarkably friendly and the chef is just as friendly and helpful. We fully enjoyed this moment and highly recommend this unique and pleasant experience :)

Very warm welcome.
Local products, home-made cuisine.
Very good value for money.
The hot goat cheese with honey is very tasty and its accompaniment is hearty.
The lamb shank is very good.
Desserts not tested because we were full.
20/09/2024: During a cycling trip we stayed there for one night. Ideally located in the heart of St Affrique, you will first be pleasantly welcomed by the owners whose hotel sense is not an empty word.
Pretty little rooms recently renovated with pleasant and neat decoration, air conditioning, very good bedding and a beautiful bathroom. A closed garage for our bikes.
An excellent restaurant with tasty cuisine and a service team attentive to the smooth running of your meal.
A pleasant breakfast to get you back on the road.
If you are in St Affrique, look no further, this is the place to stay!

10/09/2024: Good cuisine but their specialty remains wine, moreover the high tables and high stools do not allow you to have a comfortable position for a meal. However, we are well received there! Wine lover => I recommend

6 family members came for a meal. We agreed actually one of the best meals we have ever had! Not too rich in contrast to some recent experiences. A great combination of well cooked and selected foods, some of them new to us eg artichoke humus. salmon gravadlax totally unlike any gravadlax we’ve had before. Beautifully cooked fish as a main. Innovative deserts combining great tastes. Reasonable price. Relaxed but efficient service. Good choice of wines. Highly recommended.

04/09/2024: Magnificent and relaxing place with a superb wooden terrace at the back of the restaurant which gives a magnificent view. Made to look like a large mountain chalet. I recommend this place.
