25/02/2026: A very welcoming place, the outdoor courtyard is lovely, tastefully decorated, the waitress very efficient, the dishes beautifully presented, refined, generous, perfectly cooked, seasoned just right, not too heavy and well-balanced. Not a single flaw from appetizer to dessert. A real treat, we had a wonderful time. Excellent value for money, everything is undoubtedly homemade, and even the bread is fresh, which is increasingly rare. Thank you for this experience.

11/02/2026: I had dinner at Le Bouchon des Cordeliers on Friday, February 6, 2026. I had booked a table well in advance, of course. It was my first experience at a true "bouchon lyonnais" and it was wonderful. The atmosphere was informal and friendly. The food was exquisite. The wine was excellent. The place was cozy. The service was attentive. I chose the Menu des Canuts: For a starter, Terrine du Chef: Foie gras, suckling pig, veal, and scallops, onion and pickle compote. For the main course, quenelle Lyonnaise au Brochet, Homardine sauce, and rice pilaf. For dessert, baba au Vieux Rhum Arrangé à la Vanille. To drink, I ordered a pot of Mâcon Villages white wine. Bread and water were complimentary throughout the meal. Everything was delicious. I highly recommend it. Quality and generous portions in every dish. The restaurants in the area typically offer fresh fish and seafood, expertly prepared with distinctly Mediterranean flavors. The atmosphere is relaxed, with pleasant terraces and views that perfectly complement the experience. The service was friendly and efficient, and I found the value for money to be reasonable for the area. A very good option for a delicious meal while enjoying the coastal surroundings.

18/02/2026: I had lunch today at Le Vieux Comptoir (Paris 75001) with a former classmate for a very pleasant business lunch. From the moment we arrived, the welcome was exceptionally warm – I've rarely experienced such friendliness! The ladies who served us were remarkably kind, and the service was quick and attentive, ideal for a weekday meal. I opted for the dish of the day: salmon with an excellent caponata, followed by a Paris-Brest for dessert. Everything was delicious, with well-balanced flavors and generous portions that more than justified the prices on the menu (which I initially found a bit high). It was flawless from start to finish: charming setting, impeccable service, and top-notch cuisine. I highly recommend this restaurant for a business lunch or a casual get-together – I'll gladly return! A well-deserved 5 stars.

It's impossible not to find something to enjoy, whether it's an aperitif or a beautifully presented meal, in a cozy setting where time seems to stand still in the gentle atmosphere created by the radiant owner, Karine Arnaud, and her team. As for the dynamic chef, Eric Arnaud, he delights us with his magnificent dishes, each with its own elegant presentation and flavors that transport us back to a time when people took the time to create rich, flavorful sauces, not to mention the expertly crafted sauces that whisk us away to a paradise of fine food and the good life. It's thanks to them that life sparkles in Place Ducale. A must-try!
