Colin's warm welcome, his humor, and the quality of the service all contributed to creating a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. As for the food, it was a true delight from start to finish, from the salmon tartare to the dessert. I'll definitely be back!

31/07/2026: A wonderful discovery. The welcome was friendly and the setting pleasant, with tables shaded by linden trees. The waitresses were smiling and efficient. There's a good selection on the menu and a set lunch menu for €25 (starter and main course or main course and dessert) on weekdays. For my starter, I chose the surprising but very enjoyable "Straccia Keeps a Cool Head." It was a stacciatella, zucchini tagliatelle, tomato sorbet with basil, and balsamic vinegar. Yum! Then came the pork pluma with wild garlic and sautéed potatoes. For dessert, I indulged in the delicious Maramisu, a tiramisu with wild strawberries. Everything was high quality and beautifully presented; I thoroughly enjoyed it. I'll definitely be back.

28/07/2026: Best restaurant on the waterfront. The food is excellent (especially the Chicken Burger and the "Le Bijoux" cocktail), the staff is lovely, it's a bit pricey but well worth the cost. Important detail for summer: There's air conditioning inside!

12/07/2026: We dined at this restaurant tonight. We were looking for a place where we could enjoy a good meal with good value for money. We found it here. Service was good, the food was delicious and full of flavor. We had carpaccio as a starter, and veal and sea bass as the main course. Absolutely mouthwatering! For dessert, the chocolate therapy (amazing good therapy) and roasted apricot. A nice rosé to go with it; a top evening. I highly recommend this place. Thanks and compliments to the chef!

27/07/2026: Terrace with a lovely view of the city of Metz but more than an hour's wait to be served and in the end the "reference" dish turned out to be lukewarm fries and a few pieces of meat for two in a cold sauce, honestly it doesn't make you want to come back, we were really disappointed.

30/06/2026: Loved the food at La Stub desk Gourmets as it was authentic, tasty, quite substantial, and wonderfully served. Walking into the place is a bit sketchy with smells of WC wafting through the walkway to get to the front door. Service was OK once served, but we were the first wave of a busy dinner hour and even though the room is small and impossibly too bright, we were forgotten in the hustle in lieu of larger parties.

26/07/2026: Thursday, July 23, 2026 Lunch for four people - 65 Euros per person Beautiful house located on the banks of the Canal des Houilleres in a peaceful and bucolic setting. Minimal welcome, restrained and unfriendly this Thursday. Feverish service. If, as announced, a set menu is requested, all guests must agree on the same menu for everyone. To choose freedom and share tastes and preferences, we can all order à la carte. We chose the set menu for the table, which allows for individual adjustments if you opt for fish, increasing the price by 20% or more if you prefer the cheese course to dessert. The directive order-taking, with a stern expression, was pleasantly softened by the smile of an attentive young waitress who brought us the aperitif. Muscat, Crémant, and Pinot Noir by the glass were Excellent. An aperitif/cocktail/non-alcoholic wine would be welcome. The wine list offers reasonable prices and a selection by the glass that fairly represents different regions and grape varieties. Beautiful tableware and perfect timing of service; the presentation of the dishes will please the eye and delight those who feed their smartphones. Fresh starters with soothing flavors. No quick cooking here. The main courses, cooked slowly and meticulously (sous vide?), ensure a tender veal rump, but a somewhat muted flavor. Those who appreciate pronounced aromas, flavorful roasted notes, and olfactory pleasures will find it difficult to satisfy. The chef was kind enough to inform us if he practices batch cooking. The dishes are accompanied by a plethora of ramekins offering mousses, purées, sabayons, and concassés, omitting fresh vegetables. The dessert Morello cherries on shortbread win the day with their indulgent flavors. Reasonable prices - around 65 Euros per person. Many will praise the concept, but the somewhat stiff atmosphere, menu, and service during our visit, along with an optimized cooking method that masked certain flavors, left us with a mixed impression that only partially reflected the proverbial warmth, generosity, authenticity, and spirit of sharing that are the soul of the gastronomy of this beautiful region of Alsace.
