18/09/2026: The staff were welcoming, accommodating, and responsive. They were always available and made sure we found a table. The portions were generous, the dishes were beautifully presented, and the food was homemade (excellent value for money). We especially loved the eggs Benedict with their incredible hollandaise sauce. You can add salmon or bacon at no extra charge. We requested some changes, which were immediately accommodated. The place was clean and cozy. The only minor drawback was that when it's busy (which is understandable), it can get quite noisy, but the experience is so enjoyable that it's easy to overlook!

28/08/2026: Staying unexpectedly near Angers train station, we discovered this restaurant – what a pleasant surprise! Everything was perfect: the welcome, the service, the recommendations, and of course, the food. A real treat from start to finish! Special mention for the "burnt apricot" dessert, which we loved. All for a reasonable price. Bravo!

28/08/2026: Excellent restaurant, just steps from the train station. We enjoyed a beautiful, generous plate of the fish of the day accompanied by a trio of vegetables. Very good, flavorful portions. We finished with homemade tiramisu. The staff is very friendly and the restaurant has a warm atmosphere. A small suggestion: offering some beers from the Ardennes would be fantastic. Holiday vouchers are accepted! Perfect address, thank you.

06/09/2026: A great place to taste the local crêpes – both salty and sweet options! Booking ahead is very recommended as a place is not big (not a lot of tables) and is popular. It took us 2 attempts to finally got inside without reservation (even that was fortunate, and it was in the end before the lunch break), so make a reservation to make sure you’ll no miss it 😊

25/09/2026: The food was very good, but the wine was a bit pricey for the daily special. It would be different for an à la carte meal. Booking was a little complicated.

24/09/2026: The location is ideally situated along the Burgundy Canal. The interior is refined, with exposed stone walls and has been renovated. The welcome is warm, and the atmosphere is intimate and peaceful. The cuisine: this is the big (and very pleasant) surprise. The quality and presentation of the dishes are exquisite, based on simple yet superbly combined ingredients. The plates are practically works of art that you almost don't want to touch... This establishment deserves at least a Michelin Bibendum, and a star is within reach. The only drawback: parking is practically nonexistent due to the restaurant's location along the canal. The establishment suffers from a staff shortage (which did not affect the quality of our service). This is why we must highlight the immense merit of the chef, working alone at his stove, supported by his wife and son in the dining room. A top-notch family business that can only be highly recommended, both for dining and for working.

08/09/2026: My partner and I celebrated our anniversary at this establishment, drawn by its reputation. While it undoubtedly remains a luxurious gastronomic experience with impeccable service, very pleasant staff, and a lovely setting, we were unfortunately disappointed by the food. We opted for the Summer menu, consisting of nine courses, including an amuse-bouche and cheese course. Only two courses truly captured our attention and delighted our palates: an incredible marinated fish with passion fruit, and a wonderfully flavorful stuffed cockerel. The rest was good, though some dishes were unfortunately well below average (the main dessert lacked texture and the whipped cream was bland, the petit fours were uninteresting, and the amuse-bouches were acidic and uninteresting). The wine selection could also have been of a higher caliber, and the homemade breads and toasted bread were of low quality. For the price, and to compare it to many other fine dining establishments, this one is unfortunately clearly inferior.

08/09/2026: The food is delicious, with many flavors expertly combined, the service is very pleasant, and the setting is magnificent...what more could you ask for! We returned for our wedding anniversary and had a wonderful time.

06/09/2026: I loved this charming little tea room, where the welcome was so pleasant and warm! Lovely, original, and tempting pastries, a wide selection of hot and cold drinks (the tea selection is magnificent), and a variety of ice creams and biscuits. Those with a sweet tooth will be delighted! A pleasant interior and a small terrace overlooking the street.

29/08/2026: Three days in Azay-le-Rideau, and three visits to Biscuithé! We could have gone every day, trying out different treats: excellent ice cream, delicious cakes and cookies, excellent homemade tarts, and a wide variety of drinks and teas. The staff were welcoming and friendly; thank you for these relaxing moments :)

03/08/2026: A magical place where you feel right at home. The food is incredible and the service is impeccable! They were incredibly attentive and even accommodated my gluten intolerance, even though we hadn't made a reservation. So, kudos to the chef and his team, to the woman who tends the vegetable garden and ensures such high-quality cuisine, and kudos to the baker because the sourdough bread is simply divine and so rare in restaurants. And finally, thank you to the owner who makes it all possible! If you're ever in the area, don't hesitate, and you might even want to make a special trip! Thank you 🙏
