26/04/2026: Strolling along the main street of St Martin Vésubie, looking for food for a picnic, I discovered "Les Halles du Mercantour." The visual pleasure preceded that of the taste buds; everything looked appetizing: tomato and pine nut tarts, chard pies, wild garlic quiche... Our basket was quickly filled. And for dessert: an unfamiliar but utterly typical and delicious specialty, the sweet broad bean tart. Beneath the delicately sweet pastry, I discovered a smooth and subtly flavored morsel, a true product of Niçoise tradition. Highly recommended.

13/04/2026: What an absolute joy to finally rediscover "real" Niçoise cuisine! With Le Bàlico in Nice, the mountains have found their perfect counterpart. And what a welcome! Professional and with a smile. The icing on the cake is the canned goods, allowing you to take all these flavors home with you—perfect when you don't have time to cook, or even check what you're eating (because it's 150% healthy). Also ideal for impressing friends from other regions. Baïeta!

11/03/2026: A really cool spot for cocktails with live music! The bartender is fantastic and incredibly skilled at blending flavors. My transition from a Daiquiri to a Hemingway was seamless... I laughed all the way to the subway.

16/04/2026: The quality is there, plus the authentic Lyonnaise charm. The quenelle, the real deal, with a delicious sauce, and the praline tart is divine. What more could you ask for? Nothing.

14/04/2026: I'd give it 20 stars if I could :) Honestly, I was a little worried it might be too touristy, but I was late for my reservation and they let me in when it was almost fully booked. And I'm so glad they did, because I loved it. I had the onion soup and the Salade Lyonnaise. From what I understand, every bouchon has its own unique Salade Lyonnaise, but mine was definitely the best, no doubt about it. Definitely come hungry, because the portions are huge.

02/05/2026: We wanted to find a restaurant near the sea with something delicious. The menu isn't extensive, but quality is clearly the priority. We tried galettes with andouille sausage, Camembert cheese, or even a build-your-own option. Everything was a treat. The children also enjoyed a simple but satisfying savory galette, complete with a bowl of cider. For dessert, the salted caramel, homemade chocolate, and whipped cream delighted everyone! The staff was welcoming and friendly. Finally, the bill for four, including aperitifs, main courses, and desserts, came to around €115, or less than €30 per person. Reasonable.

07/12/2025: We came to eat as a family, and it was a very unpleasant experience. The owner, I presume, was intrusive from beginning to end. We had barely sat down when he started massaging my brother's and father's shoulders. He inserted himself into all our conversations, sat at our table to chat with us, addressed us informally, and made homophobic remarks toward my uncles. He spoke to his colleagues without any restraint, shouting across the room; even the youngest employee seemed embarrassed for us. He was making a spectacle of himself; it was impossible to eat in peace. We were very uncomfortable and hurt by his remarks. He tried to apologize, but we sensed no sincerity. Judging by other negative reviews, we're not the only ones complaining about this kind of behavior.

07/12/2025: The food was simple and good, but I was very surprised to see this restaurant has a 5-star rating… I felt uncomfortable from beginning to end. Between the "shoulder massages" and the homophobic, sexist, and racist remarks from the owner, whom I thank for leaving us with such a wonderful impression of this place we will not be returning to. You can laugh about anything, but not with just anyone. A word to the wise.
