My husband ordered a medium-rare ribeye that was actually rarer. After all, any good cook or epicurean knows that beef is best served rare or medium-rare, nothing more! 🤪🤣 I highly recommend it. 30/03/2026: I had Gavroche's Tartare, grilled salmon with soy sauce, and rice! The tartare wasn't fishy at all; although it differs from the Korean style, it has a special flavor that is enjoyable without any hesitation. The accompanying French fries were also really delicious. The salmon steak was well-grilled and paired perfectly with the soy sauce, making it a great match for the rice. The staff are very friendly!!

02/04/2026: The best spot in Antibes for a quick lunch featuring an excellent daily special, most often a choice of meat or fish, created and cooked fresh to order by the warm and welcoming chef Julien, who delights his loyal local clientele. The homemade set menu, including a main course and dessert with a soft drink, is €11. Three options are available at this small, friendly establishment: takeaway, enjoy your meal at one of the eight seats around the bar, or savor it in the sun at one of the few tables on the terrace. It's such a great find that it's hard to share!

11/04/2026: Impeccable, there's something for everyone. From classic crepes to the most sophisticated. As for dessert, it's hard to choose because there are so many different flavors. Very good, you can go without hesitation.

11/04/2026: Passing through Royan, we stopped for coffee around 11 am. We received a warm and professional welcome, so we asked for the lunch menu. It was simple, efficient, and very tasty. The terrace was sunny. The next day, before heading back to Paris, we had the full breakfast. Excellent, for under 10 euros! Well done, ladies! There are still professionals in the restaurant industry who make everything on-site.

10/04/2026: A wonderful first experience at "La Route du Sel" with the family during a motorcycle ride. The food was simply delicious, generous, and beautifully presented—a feast for the eyes as well! We had lunch in the garden with a breathtaking view of the Loire River, and the sun was shining. We were greeted with a smile, the staff were very friendly and relaxed, and we felt right at home. Highly recommended. We will be back, thank you for everything!

24/03/2026: Charming village inn, excellent cuisine with expertly cooked dishes: asparagus, fish. From spring onwards, tables are set up on the terrace overlooking the Loire, offering a superb view. I can't wait to go back.

26/04/2026: Upon entering, I immediately had a strange feeling about the service. However, the food was ready quickly and looked good. Then it turned out there was an insect in the lettuce. We pointed this out and received new lettuce, but decided to leave it untouched. Of course, this can always happen, but the way they handled it was disappointing. When paying, we even asked, "Was everything to your liking?" Of course not; there was something (a black caterpillar that was moving too??) in the food that I had never seen before. An "apology" was the least we expected. A free coffee or removing the dish from the bill would have been even nicer. We will not be returning to this place.

19/04/2026: The food and cappuccino were tasty, though on the pricey side. My main issue was with the service: after my meal, I opened my laptop to do some work. The waitress took my order for a second cappuccino without any comment, and then came back roughly ten minutes after serving it to tell me that laptops are not allowed on weekends. I have no problem with the policy itself. Every café is entitled to set its own rules. What I do mind is not being told when I placed the order. A quick heads-up would have let me either close the laptop or skip the second drink and settle up. Instead I was put in an awkward position after already being served. Left a sour impression on what was otherwise a decent visit.
