02/12/2025: I'm so sorry, but it's true that originally I wanted to go eat by the sea with our friends, who were already seated at the restaurant. I was a bit rude, telling them rather tactlessly. But in the end, maybe I should have followed my instincts, because I couldn't digest anything at all, especially the wine. (One glass at the table.) I spent the evening on the toilet, feeling incredibly sick, practically on the verge of going to the hospital. The restaurant was supposed to be closed for its annual holiday, so I'm wondering if something wasn't fresh enough. I had chicken with mushrooms and mashed potatoes? And two chocolate desserts, both very soft. And for an aperitif, I had a white sangria. I have no idea what's making me so sick. I haven't eaten anything else since. So now I have serious regrets and doubts. If I don't feel better tonight, I'll contact them... Yet everything tasted so good!

25/11/2025: The starter was barely adequate: a half-eaten boquerone (a type of fish) and a slice of bread with tomato. The portion of rice and sea bass was minimal. However, the fish was well-cooked. It's not worth 20 euros for two courses.

14/02/2026: We booked a table for two (only) through the website. The restaurant accepted our reservation. Upon arrival, the young woman who "greeted" us—if you can call it that—barely said hello, then added, "Uh, but the kitchen closes in three minutes, so you need to order now, and we're closing at 3 pm exceptionally." That was understandable enough. We quickly chose our dishes, and the person, probably the owner, came to take our order, starting with, "Given the time, it'll be pizza or salad." So we had to quickly choose another dish. The pizza wasn't cooked (perhaps they didn't have enough time), and the salad was truly awful. €42 for this disaster. We used to come here, but never again. Avoid at all costs!

08/02/2026: Hello, When I came on Saturday, I asked a passing waiter for two coffees, but he told me we had to go to the counter to order. There were four of us on the terrace, and there were four waiters behind the counter. I think it's a shame that nowadays, waiters don't actually serve anymore.

26/02/2026: The beef bourguignon was far too peppery, so we sent it back. The duck confit was very tasty. Unfortunately, the crêpes suzette were very bitter due to far too much Grand Marnier. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere is charming. But we won't be back.

14/02/2026: The service was incredibly slow; I had a reservation at 12:30 PM and my hot meal arrived at 2:00 PM. I'm so disappointed that I didn't get to eat anything on Valentine's Day because the service was so interminable.

30/11/2025: I came to celebrate my birthday, and this bar was a great choice! We had a long table at first, then there were more of us, but we were all standing up, some at the bar, some playing darts, some doing karaoke… everyone had a fantastic time, the servers were very friendly and really got the atmosphere going! A festive Thursday night, we loved it!

17/02/2026: We had dinner for Valentine's Day. We were seated upstairs because the downstairs room was full. The room wasn't very welcoming and felt more like a meeting room. We were disappointed because when we ordered our aperitifs, we had already mentioned wanting wine. We had to wait until our starters to ask again to order the wine because they had forgotten. The waitress couldn't open the bottle and went off to the bar without a word, presumably to open it. She apologized when she came back and put the cork on the bottle, which wasn't ours because it was red wine and we had ordered white. The dishes were very good but often lacked warmth. According to the waiters, we were given a detailed description of each dish, otherwise they didn't say anything. What bothered us was that each waiter did everything; it would have been much smoother if they had assigned tables. We were served water twice even though someone had already brought it. We were also very disappointed because our hot drinks were supposed to include petits fours when we booked, but we didn't receive any at all. On the other hand, we really enjoyed the musical interlude, which was great, with two people singing. It was a welcome change, as there is absolutely no background music in the restaurant. One last point that I think is essential: as this is a training restaurant, it's a shame that we can't give our feedback after the meal with a questionnaire or something similar, so that the students can improve. The meal was very generous and delicious.

14/02/2026: We came as a couple for Valentine's Day. And we'll never be back. Let me explain: I booked a table at the Vatel Lyon restaurant, hoping to share the Grand Vatel menu, which was presented and recommended to me by the reception staff. Imagine our disappointment when we arrived upstairs, in a sort of conference room converted into a campsite restaurant, complete with a glaring video projector and school chairs. Once seated, we were delighted to discover that it was a set menu, with no possibility of changes, a fact we hadn't been informed of by email. Halfway through the evening, you'll have the pleasure of listening to/enduring a participatory concert worthy of the worst campsites, all while enjoying a bland and tasteless meal that you could easily recreate at home. All this for the modest sum of €180 for two (knowing that this is not a professional service, but rather unqualified apprentices whom we don't want, as they have to learn somehow). In short, a very bad experience! For less money, and much better, I recommend the Bulle restaurant.

03/03/2026: A good restaurant that stays open all afternoon! The concept of large meat skewers served vertically on a stand is very appealing and original. The dishes are good for reasonable prices. The service is quick and friendly. However, the "café gourmand" (a selection of small desserts served with coffee) is more than disappointing: €8.50 for two mini meringues, a scoop of vanilla ice cream, and two small glasses of cream!
