19/02/2026: A fantastic evening! The welcome, the food, and the setting are incredible. Go without hesitation. We were a group of nine, ranging in age from 11 to 73, and everyone was delighted. Local produce and chefs who know how to showcase it, a superb setting. Absolutely top-notch!

14/12/2025: First time at this new restaurant. A very warm welcome, high-quality cuisine with wonderful flavors. A minor criticism: the menu is a bit short, but more importantly, the portions are too small—they look like appetizers… we're in a country known for its delicious food and convivial atmosphere, so a bit more substance is needed. But kudos to the young owners, who have so much potential.

We spoke to a woman on the phone last week, and she took a reservation for two people for Friday, January 2nd at 1 p.m.! The problem isn't that you're taking time off; it's simply taking reservations when you're closed or at least letting people know. Just so you know!

15/02/2026: The Epd menu near Luxembourg Gardens is only €26 for lunch, and the food is delicious and filling. The service is friendly. However, it's very crowded during meal times, and the layout of the restaurant makes it difficult to hear everyone talking loudly, making it quite chaotic. Recommended for those looking for a great introduction to French bistros at a reasonable price.

14/02/2026: Having neglected the 5th arrondissement for years, I have some catching up to do, especially since this district has managed to reinvent itself in the culinary world in the best possible way. It was reading Joseph Kessel's *La Fontaine Médicis* that sparked everything: the parents of the main character, Richard Dalleau, live nearby on Rue Royer-Collard. Miraculously, the number 75 bus line was running more or less normally that day and transported me to Place du Panthéon, its terminus, just a stone's throw from the Perraudin. Upon arriving, my suspicions were confirmed: I had never been! The confusion dates back to my younger years, when I consulted printed culinary guides (in the 20th century!) without being able to afford the restaurants they featured... Hence my choice, which is more in line with my metabolism at the time, but enough of this dietary pettiness: herring with potatoes in oil, of course, duck confit with Sarlat-style potatoes, and finally, for good measure, a Tatin tart with crème fraîche. How wonderful! Like in Kessel's world, everything is delicious at Perraudin's.
