23/09/2024: Chez Paul cares about their customers. After having been very disappointed on the food (the meat - Steak au poivre) in April I posted some words about it here on Tripadvisor. Very soon Chez Paul got back to me with the hope to be ablt to make it up for it. Indeed, serve me dinner i September, I answered. And yes. I was back. An excellent piece of meat with delicious Bearnaise sauce. For me and my niece. I would say: Elegant treatment of miscontent customer. Now I of course have a positive impression of the place, which in fact has a great atmosphere. Merci Chez Paul. Vous m'avez traité avec grand respect et la deuxième fois la viande a été excellente. L'atmosphère chez vous est très bonne. Merci!

18/09/2024: Overated. Food has definitely declined over the past few years. French Onion soup was the worst - completely lacking any flavour. Pepper steak sauce was good but beef was a bit tough - and that was medium rare. Service was efficient but rather rushed. Been several times in 20 years - time for somewhere else.

30/08/2024: I came to Jeanala and Sepala de Grandmere and discovered the cuisine of a great chef. Worth the detour, even if a surprising forbidden meaning tries to discourage you!

20/08/2024: Very good dinner in this restaurant. Very pleasant welcome. Small table on the terrace on a pretty square. Very good Casalaise salad as well as the crème brulée😉

07/12/2024: We went there with our eyes closed, based on previous reviews. As a result, we are extremely disappointed. Passionate about bistros in the four corners of France, even in the most remote countryside. The one in Montpazier welcomes a lot of people, however, the welcome is not warm as people testify. The waitresses greet us with a haughty attitude, a forced smile which disappears immediately when our backs are turned. Perhaps fatigue, weariness of the world….so be it, but still!! Meals, very skinny pizza, ……a small piece of smoked salmon in the middle of arugula and cherry tomatoes. The duck breast, nothing to say, perfectly cooked. Dessert, very good crème brûlée, a “burifo” ice cream sundae, pear ice cream on pear brandy….to be avoided. A ball of ice cream drowning in very poor quality brandy. Dessert for €8 without any presentation or decoration (no whipped cream or other frozen dessert decoration) Don’t hesitate to come and eat there if you like canteen meals!!! Only one qualifier for us, who are really not difficult: really bad. What saves the bistro is its undeniable tourist location, it's shameful for all the others which are well above

05/10/2024: This used to be a regular haunt with young children as was informal and good value for money. We recently revisited (no children) just ladies of a certain age, and we had a wonderful time. Great staff , super food and lots of it! Open for lunch but only at weekends for dinner, we all had the traditional set menu or moules, whilst most french families seemed to be opting for the burgers - so something for everyone. Reasonable prices - 21.90 euro for three courses and the biggest puddings ever, our helpful waiter warned us so it was two desserts and four spoons! Will certainly visit again

08/09/2024: Belle découverte avec pour commencer un œuf cocotte au neufchatel qui sera vous ouvrir l’appétit, on continuer les moules à volonté avec des assiettes très bien garnies et des moule généreuse. Puis viens la question du dessert plusieurs choix sauf à vous pour ma part 3 gros profiteroles termineront mon repas et après cela je peux vous dire que vous avez plus faim 😋 Très belle adresse dans un cadre charmant serveuse et serveur agréable !

11/11/2024: Warm truffade, not very spicy (no garlic), profiteroles with dried cabbage, so not fresh. We see that the restaurant was closing. Fast service, very noisy room

15/12/2024: Perfect establishment. Welcome, cleanliness, breakfast, service, catering and location: everything is really top notch. The sea view room is a real treat, especially with the Christmas lights. This hotel is much better than some 4 stars. We will come back.

24/09/2024: A good address. A little outside the city center, this restaurant offers a simple and effective menu with brasserie-style dishes but with local products. The staff is very friendly and the quality of the dishes is impeccable. The restaurant has a beautiful terrace; practical for enjoying the end of summer.
