02/07/2025: Pleasant and spacious setting. Friendly decor. The service was busy, but friendly. The terrine served as a starter was full of flavor, although it's always unpleasant to have a slightly gray start. On the other hand, there was a problem with the sweetbreads. They gave off a strong odor, as if they had been improperly stored or rinsed before use. It's a shame because the dish is generous and the entire grilled preparation is interesting. Well, I didn't get sick, but the smell of the dish was definitely not appealing.

01/07/2025: When you ask for rare meat and you are brought a very cooked and hard to cut beef steak, there is a problem! The steaks were kindly replaced but another problem is the cooking was improved but served barely warm, not to say cold! As for dessert, the banana splits need to be reviewed, served in ice cream glasses and not in a bowl! Where was the banana? Was the strawberry ice cream a sorbet? Furthermore, it is very unpleasant to dine with noxious smells coming from the drains (toilets or other). In short, the bill is not up to the standard of the meal.

23/09/2024: Very lively atmosphere, great food, friendly service, nothing not to like here. Oysters were fabulous, ditto the chocolate layer cake. Roast chicken with mashed potatoes both solid. Recommended. Do make reservations!

17/11/2024: nous sommes venus 3 jours au we du 11 novembre. que ce soit l'hôtel ,l'accueil,le service, le restaurant tou etait impeccable. le service au restaurant au top et les plats succulents. touts nos félicitations au jeune chef de cuisine ainsi qu'au serveur et serveuse du restaurant. les patrons sont également très sympathique très avenants et professionnel. les chambres d'hôtel très spacieuse et très bien décorées. bref nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cet établissement et nous n'hésiterons pas a revenir lorsque nous reviendrons dans la région

13/11/2024: De passage à Mur-de-Barrez, nous avons déjeuné dans cet ancienne auberge réputée reprise récemment, après un passage... à vide de quelques années. Nous sommes venus cet été assez souvent, entre amis et en famille : menu brasserie parfait. En novembre, nous étions pressés par le temps et avons choisi le menu du jour. Excellent. Cuisine entièrement faite maison : produits frais, de qualité... et bons, ce qui est rare pour un menu du jour. Postule pour le label "maitre restaurateur" ce qui est un gage de qualité. Service rapide, dynamique, discret et efficace malgré une certaine affluence. Ambiance cool, sympathique. Adresse à recommander.

07/07/2025: We were lucky to get a seat outside - and we had just walked up at a busy time. We were trying to get into another restaurant but it was too busy- and I’m so glad we got in here. The service was friendly and the chicken dish I had was absolutely gorgeous, lovely vegetables and all tasted fresh. (A few days later we went to the ‘other’ restaurant and imo it wasn’t nearly as good as this one.) I really liked it here.

25/11/2025: They're all really nice except for one guy who's incredibly unpleasant and mean for no reason. The one with the tied-back hair! Thank you, sir, for your kind words ;) I won't come back just because of him.

03/11/2025: Bad experience! Disgusting food, avoid the fried calamari, it's not calamari but something else disgusting... The fries were too big but bland and tasteless, you have to add sauce to be able to swallow them! I do not recommend it. The atmosphere is awful, old-fashioned, and gloomy.

09/07/2025: We spent last weekend in a very clean room, the owner was very friendly, we were delighted with our stay.

09/07/2025: We spent 2 days at the hotel. The hosts welcomed us very well, as did all the staff at the hotel and the restaurant where we ate the first evening. The meal was EXCELLENT! We had the beef and the venison, and both dishes were cooked perfectly. We also booked an hour of spa time and a massage, which were very much appreciated! In short, a very good stay, we recommend it!!

25/06/2025: Decent establishment. Friendly welcome. A small drawback: lack of ventilation and air conditioning in case of extreme heat. Nothing to complain about regarding meals, a varied selection.

12/12/2024: A restaurant with affordable prices and high quality meat and dishes. The products are fresh and seasonal, which is reflected in each plate! Special mention for the warm welcome and attentive service. You immediately feel at ease there! An experience that I recommend without hesitation. 2 minutes from the Croisette and rue d'Antibes!

11/12/2024: Lovely little spot to get coffee. Perfect spot to sit outside especially in autumn/spring weather. Their croque madame is okay, I've had better, but their is fine. Fries are good. Asked for ice coffee and they're willing to make it but it taste very watery, my fault, just get hot coffee here. But the service is great. And the quiet location is a plus too.

14/09/2025: Friendliness, simplicity, deliciousness. Discovered by chance. The locals apparently know it very well. Very good value for money. The gratin... to die for. And it's homemade. This restaurant is really great. For a hassle-free moment. We loved it.

15/12/2024: Beautiful hotel, well maintained. Varied, copious and quality breakfast (19€/adult and 10€/up to 12 years old) Ask for a lake side room! The view there is splendid. Only things to say: - family room a little narrow for my taste but sufficient for 1 night. - breakfast ends at 9:30 a.m. Until 10 a.m. would be great! We are happy with our visit and will keep this address for next time 😉
