16/04/2026: We had an excellent birthday evening at this ideally located restaurant at the foot of the Citadel, in a former military riding school. The cuisine is refined, fresh, and perfectly seasonal. A cut above your average bistro, with impeccable service and beautifully presented dishes. Well done to the whole team! We highly recommend this restaurant.

20/04/2026: A complete disaster! A tourist trap! I wanted to spend a romantic first anniversary with my sweetheart at this restaurant. What a disaster – it was so awful, I cried. No joke. First, we were greeted by a child. At first glance, cute; the daughter helps out in the restaurant. On second thought: oh, a child is being exploited and working all evening in the restaurant. Now for the food. The nuts: rotten. The seafood didn't taste fresh either; I only managed one bite. The ravioli tasted like they'd been made by an 8-year-old. No, actually, that's too harsh. Even the dessert couldn't save it: a pre-made lava cake, and the panna cotta was a slap in the face. To top it all off, they tried to rip us off and charged us different prices than those on the menu. Unprofessional. When I told the server we weren't happy, she just nodded pityingly. I think this restaurant is a scam; don't fall for it. ... Furthermore, the ambiance is completely overkill kitsch, and the fish in the bathtub are a terrible form of animal cruelty.

10/05/2026: To celebrate my retirement, I received a voucher to dine at Le Cheverny. From the moment you arrive, you're immediately struck by the elegant and stylish decor. The staff is incredibly pleasant, attentive, and always smiling, ready to make your experience truly exceptional. As for the food, it's a feast for the eyes—the dishes are so beautiful, and the taste buds are delighted by the exquisite and delicious flavors! We'll definitely be back. Thank you!

10/05/2026: Food: no flavor, no aroma. The welcome wasn't always friendly. Service: a more experienced gentleman was genuinely kind. However, at 10:30 PM, a waiter and my friends practically ushered us out with a wave of his hand towards the exit. We were told we needed a digestif. Shameful, not for the professional, but for us. There was no reaction at the reception when we paid. It took me months to decide to write this review because I generally respect the work of others. I had visited several times before this last visit, but they were spaced out because they didn't leave a lasting impression. The overall rating remains unjustified compared to two other restaurants. The main dining room has interesting proportions and a dominant gray color scheme. The service was rushed and omnipresent. With regret.

12/12/2025: There was a bit of a wait, but for an all-you-can-eat raclette, we knew how to be patient. The service during the meal was very good.

12/12/2025: Great traditional mountain style food. The croziflette was excellent, service was quick and nice. There is the possibility to eat raclette as well, which makes the place very warm so don't wear too many layers!

31/03/2026: We tried the restaurant, which was great, and in the afternoon you can enjoy a fun and friendly atmosphere with a room dedicated to all kinds of games, even indoor pétanque, yes indeed! 😁 Or, if the weather permits, why not take a walk around the lake? In short, I recommend it.

17/03/2026: This place absolutely delivered the kind of meal that makes you want to cancel all future plans and just nap happily. We arrived armed with approximately three words of French and a lot of optimism, but the waitress was an absolute star—patient, friendly, and somehow able to understand our chaotic pointing and enthusiastic nodding. The food? Proper hearty, comforting stuff. The kind that feels like a hug from someone who insists you haven’t eaten enough. And speaking of “enough”… they do NOT mess around with the cheese. If you like your meals lightly sprinkled, look away now—this is full commitment, no regrets, cheese-forward dining. Somewhere, a cow is very proud of this restaurant. The atmosphere was wonderfully convivial—buzzing, warm, and the sort of place where everyone seems to be having a great time, even if (like us) they’re not entirely sure what they just ordered. It felt relaxed and welcoming rather than stuffy, which made the whole experience even better. All in all: great service, generous portions, and a cheese policy I can fully get behind. Would absolutely come back—next time with slightly better French… or just the same strategy and a big smile.

07/03/2026: Nice discovery. Very welcoming place. The food was excellent.(Garlic shrimps and welsh) We were also lucky to get some seat because at around 8pm, it was full. Better to book. If we come back to Malo, we surely stop there again

14/04/2026: Great rooms! Several members of the group opted for the more modern rooms with air conditioning and were very satisfied. I had a slightly smaller one, but it was fine too! Good bed, good shower. Fantastic breakfast and delicious dinner. Highly recommended!!

30/12/2025: This hotel and restaurant is truly top-notch. We slept well, ate well, and the location is perfect between Colmar and Strasbourg. We visited the Christmas markets in the surrounding villages and were absolutely dazzled. I highly recommend this place. However, if you want to eat at the hotel restaurant, I recommend making a reservation as it's always packed.

17/04/2026: The food was good, but there were only two choices for the main courses... I would have appreciated a wider selection. It was very tasty! Perhaps a little too spicy (pepper) for my taste... the service was very good and pleasant. Excellent value for money!
