(Actually, I have occasionally given in to the "So British," which is also amazing). The fries are delicious, and the owners are always lovely!

20/05/2026: I had a salad and something like a thin-crust pizza. It wasn't surprising, but it was pretty good. Considering the high cost of living in Paris these days, it even felt like a bargain. I wanted to eat outside, but smoking was allowed, so I gave up on that idea.

17/05/2026: One star. I ordered a dish expecting it to be served hot, but it arrived completely cold and they didn't explain it but just told me to look to the dish on another table. I politely asked if it could be replaced, especially since I hadn’t even touched it, but the owner refused. In the end, I paid for a meal I never ate. Very disappointing customer service and overall experience. Adding in response to the owner: I asked to replace a plate that was taken out of the fridge and you could just put it again in the fridge since it was not touched neither someone had to cook it just for me at the moment. You told me you couldn't change it anyway and was too late. For the tarte flambè and the salad, we didn't have any problem as you wrote, but as soon as we had a problem, your response was in short "too late, you ordered it". In other places where there is real attention to clients, at least they offer alternatives better than this.

Only one sink in the restroom = wait in front of the counter in the window at the entrance. We wish this team all the best, including a new location worthy of their culinary talent.

One of the best restaurants in Paris, and with a magnificent view of Notre Dame to boot. I'll definitely be back! 🙂

18/07/2026: Superb. We were a walk-in of seven people at lunchtime. The food was excellent, the atmosphere lovely and Monsieur Le Patron was utterly charming (and knowledgeable!) in two languages. Can’t recommend enough.
