15/06/2026: Avoid the mojito: three-quarters crushed ice in the glass!! The duck confit: reheated food, it was a cold duck leg with completely dry skin. Wait for the grand finale: The "gourmet" coffee? Absolutely disgusting: a profiterole filled with a bulging dollop of whipped cream! Revolting... Swarms of flies during the meal: The waiter: "Well, yes, it's because of the fish served at the table!" The gourmet coffee: €3.80 extra per person, no less! We spent €94 for two. I do not recommend it.

08/06/2026: During the first week of June 2026, my husband and I went on a hiking tour around the Sancy mountains, organized by Chamina. We stayed two nights at the Grand Hôtel du Mont-Dore. Since the hotel doesn't have a restaurant, meals are outsourced to various restaurants in town. For our second dinner, we were expected at the 10 50 restaurant in Mont-Dore. In a typically Auvergne setting, we naturally expected to discover local specialties, especially since the restaurant seemed to showcase regional cuisine and cheese-based dishes. As we sat down, we observed the plates being served to the other customers: raclette, cheese gratins, and other particularly appetizing specialties. After a day of hiking in the cold and rain, it immediately made our mouths water. How disappointed we were when the waiter presented our menu: for a starter, vegetable soup or focaccia; for the main course, a turkey skewer with rice; For dessert, a tub of fromage blanc. Nothing in this meal resembled the region's specialties or even the spirit of the restaurant's menu. My husband chose the focaccia, which turned out to be a simple cold bread topped with a slice of tomato, a little ham, and a rather greasy sauce. The whole thing was unappetizing. As for me, I opted for the vegetable soup. It was a very basic blended soup, similar to what you might make at home, but it seemed ill-suited to a meal served in a restaurant. Unfortunately, the main course didn't improve matters. The turkey skewer was dry, bland, and seemed to have been simply cooked without any real preparation. The rice was dry and served with a sauce that looked more like a commercial condiment than a homemade one. We felt we were served a very ordinary daily special, far from the expectations one would have in an establishment of this type. Even the bread reinforced this impression of unequal treatment: we received a dry baguette while other tables had country bread that was visibly fresher and of higher quality. This experience left us perplexed. What is the point of accepting customers referred by Chamina and the Grand Hotel if they are to be offered such a different experience from that served to other diners? We sincerely felt we were treated differently, and less favorably, than the other restaurant patrons. This is all the more regrettable given that the setting and the specialties offered to other tables presented a much more appealing image of the establishment. Our disappointment was therefore commensurate with our expectations. Between the very disappointing quality of the meal, the feeling of being treated differently from other customers, and a dinner rushed through in less than 40 minutes without even being able to enjoy our aperitif in peace, this experience left us with a very negative impression. This is regrettable in a region where gastronomy and hospitality are such strong points.

21/03/2026: The staff were welcoming and friendly. The dining room decor was simple yet sophisticated: authentic and typically Basque, creating a very warm atmosphere. The terrace is magnificent; we'll be back as soon as it's warmer to enjoy it! The service was quick and attentive. We had the crispy shrimp (delicious) and the ribeye steak (very generous portion). The ingredients were fresh and high-quality, and we could taste it: cooked with passion! Thank you 🙏
