23/09/2024: We have had the pleasure of dining at Anciennes Halles in Buchy twice, and each experience has been perfect. We particularly enjoyed their crepes, which were hearty and delicious. The warm atmosphere and the quality of the dishes really appealed to us. It is recommended to book in advance, although, to our surprise, the lady in the restaurant managed to fit us between two reservations. A welcoming and efficient service which we really liked. We will come back with pleasure!

23/09/2024: Went there for crepes expecting a range of dessert styles but were very impressed with the savoury ones on offer. So much so, the adults elected to have some for lunch and glad we did. The place is easy to find, ample free parking nearby on the main road. The restaurant was clean and seemed quite popular. The lady at the front desk was very friendly, spoke good English and was very helpful in offering up gluten free options. In fact, if I remember correctly, all the crepes are GF as they are made with Buckwheat and there was no adverse reactions. The dessert crepes all looked very appetising and the savoury ones were absolutely delicious and we thought were reasonably price. Would highly recommend it especially for coeliacs and would actually make a journey out there for another round of fantastic food.

19/09/2024: After taking the Cde we waited a long time for our aperitif, then waited again to get our dishes, only to finally be told that there was no longer what we had chosen. We changed but the meat was inedible (butcher's cut). For the payment we were supposedly given a gift of coffee for the unexpected, except the coffee was included in the “dish-dessert” formula (gourmet coffee) so no gift!!!!! Great lack of organization and it all took us 2 hours 😱

14/09/2024: We ate at La Simplicite for lunch, a very nice surprise in Nevers with an excellent daily menu at a very good price, comforting desserts and a warm welcome. 😇 We were 2 people, the waiter managed to find us a place but if you are more, it is better to book in advance.

12/09/2024: An unmissable place when visiting Nevers. Quality cuisine (special mention to the yaya beef), a wine list to die for and a warm and attentive team. I highly recommend. Remember to book because places are expensive.

08/09/2024: Great food. Nice tiled stove. Came here after we were hypothermic, because we underestimated the weather at the col de la bonnet. Spent roughly 2-3 hours there in front of the oven, had some hot chocolates and later some food from the lunch menu. Even without a reservation, very good service.

10/09/2024: Très bon restaurant testé pour la première fois. Accueil sympathique, service soigné, cadre agréable. Les plats étaient copieux et bien cuisinés. Tout était parfait, nous reviendrons sans hésiter. Il est prudent de réserver. Attention, toutefois, le restaurant ne prend pas la carte bancaire et l'information n'est pas présente sur le site.

01/09/2024: Tested as part of the RIAS festival, a very good discovery with smiling and caring staff, original decor, a menu provided and which offers something new and above all, the main thing, delicious wheat pancakes and pancakes with quality products. Our dinner was sweet, thank you.

21/09/2024: The place is magical, full of history. For a second visit I confirm my first impressions. The food is still good and the place is still magical. The village is located on the slopes which go up to the castle, with a guaranteed view of the old bridge. The “Vieux Pont” restaurant fully deserves its star. The dishes are tasty, seasonal and according to the day. The staff is friendly and helpful. I will keep excellent memories of it, regretting that it was so long ago.

24/09/2024: Small restaurant with a simple menu and few place settings but the quality of the dishes is really there. A little extra for the coffee at the end of the meal served according to the rules of the art. I recommend!

06/09/2024: A little nugget in the middle of nowhere. A “like at home” atmosphere, a timeless vintage version. The cuisine is tasty (special mention for the Chef's specialty and her Crying Tiger). The pastry chef treated us to a cream egg to die for 😋 All orchestrated by a charming serving couple. Go there with your eyes closed and an empty stomach 👌☺️ Every lunchtime and only Friday evening.
