15/05/2026: We arrived here one morning for coffee just as they were opening. The reception felt cold and did not feel very welcome when we arrived. We did check their hours and it clearly said from 1030 am so presumed a coffee was not out of the question at that time! Anyhow, by the time we left they were a little more friendly but decided not to go for a meal later in the week as the welcome felt cold. Also for what we had we felt it was a little pricey considering the service was not great

08/05/2026: It's a shame to lose three stars over a few cents, but the management of this establishment seems to prioritize saving money over customer satisfaction. The context: A bill of €433.10 for four people. The meal was good, the setting pleasant, but the experience was seriously marred by clumsy service and, above all, by customer service bordering on indecent. The incident: Everything went wrong as soon as the aperitifs were served. The waitress, who was very polite and offered a groveling apology, unfortunately broke a glass and spilled everything on the table, staining my wife's blouse in the process. In an establishment that charges €80 for the set menu, one would expect the lack of a tablecloth to be compensated by elegant service. Quite the opposite. The final petty act: When it came time to pay, the owner proudly announced that she was making a "gesture" by offering us complimentary hot drinks. A €5.80 discount on a €433 bill to compensate for a stained garment and a service issue? It's almost insulting. Meanwhile, the two bottles of Aquachiara (micro-filtered water) were charged at €4 each. Removing the water from the bill would have been the bare minimum; offering a digestif would have been professional. Offering two coffees is simply ridiculous. In short: You can't just create a high-end restaurant with such a lack of customer service. "The icing on the cake (or rather, the stain on the blouse): the owner went so far as to suggest we 'bring back the dry cleaning bill if the stain didn't come out.' A remarkably hypocritical proposition, knowing full well that no one is going to come back and queue up again with a €15 receipt. In short, a flair for the dramatic that borders on the absurd. The food is worth the trip, but the management is sorely lacking in class." We will never set foot in there again: a customer's loyalty is clearly worth less than the price of a coffee at your place.

We appreciated their original and sophisticated presentation as much as the quality of the ingredients. The staff is attentive and friendly. The conversation with the chef at the end of the meal was delightful. A truly lovely time in a pleasant setting, enjoying the beautiful weather on the terrace. We highly recommend it. 30/11/2025: I visited on Saturday, November 29th. From the moment we arrived, we were immersed in the experience, starting with the little golf cart that picked us up and took us to the restaurant. The welcome was fantastic, very friendly and welcoming, with our coats taken by the staff. The staff were excellent, very kind and respectful. We were immediately drawn into the atmosphere of the inn upon entering. The dining room was very intimate, simple yet adding to the charm of the experience. We began our meal with a magnificent view of the Basque mountains, which is the highlight of this place. The meal started with amuse-bouches that immediately set the tone for what was to come: incredibly comforting and delicate. The courses flowed seamlessly, each one of a high standard, featuring quality, locally sourced ingredients expertly prepared by Chef John Argaud. I highly recommend this place; the experience is incredible from beginning to end. Having opted for the signature menu, every course was exceptional, each offering a delightful surprise. I would have loved to try the truffle, which was unavailable, but otherwise, the meal was superb from start to finish. The excellent service, including the option to enjoy the petit fours on the terrace, was truly wonderful.

04/11/2025: A magical place!! The room with its fireplace was perfect for a romantic evening! We were welcomed like VIPs. The breakfasts, with their wide selection of homemade products, made us want to try everything!! And the view of the mountains and the estate... We also had dinner at the bistro-style restaurant and we LOVED it! PERFECT

10/06/2026: Our favorite, “local” place. Daughter loves the escargots. Service is good, although it sometimes feels like they could add another waiter. One women, who is wonderful, seems to run the whole restaurant by herself :)
