11/08/2026: Nice evening at Au Dernier Métro, as always. Ordered the foie de veau, perfectly rosé, and the beef tartare. Very cool waiters. Also discovered that the original restaurant-bar was founded in 1948 under the name Saint-Brieuc and renamed Au Dernier Métro in 1992.

10/06/2026: Had an amazing evening at this lovely wine bar, which also does a really nice line of food too - great if you want to avoid the 'black hole' of Schwendi drawing you back in. The place is run by just two people, but no one was kept waiting. The knowledge of wine was amazing, and I opted for the surprise discovery option twice to taste something new to me and to learn about the wine of the area. Perfect place - will be top of our choices of destination when we move here

06/06/2026: We went for a meal in the restaurant for lunch. The setting is beautiful. The food was underwhelming, sadly.

04/06/2026: We visited the hotel in September 2025 with a small dog, to enjoy some drinks on the terrace outside the restaurant. We were welcomed and the service was great. We invited some friends to join us in June 2026 and were told that ‘the hotel only allows one dog on the hotel premises at any time and since there was already a dog’, we could not be served. Disappointing.

18/07/2026: I've been coming to the Vaucluse region on holiday with my wife for the past four years. I knew the restaurant and the owners before, thanks to my grandparents. Even though there's a bit of a wait for a large table, I give this restaurant 5 stars! Because the quality-price ratio is unbeatable! Even if there are some issues for some people, if you're not satisfied, go somewhere else. It would also require some goodwill from everyone and not having to call two hours in advance for a large table. Try that at another restaurant and you'll get the same treatment! The human body can withstand a lot of heat and stress, but the people at this restaurant work two shifts (lunch/dinner) every day, five and a half days a week. They're not supermen either. I'd like to see you try it out in their shoes and see if you could manage that many shifts and that many years, or if you'd close down after two years because it's too hard… It's easy to criticize, but try it yourself! If you come to a restaurant, it's partly because you don't want to eat a sandwich or a simple meal at home…! Or go to McDonald's…. So I say THANK YOU to these people for cooking us quality food with fresh ingredients, not processed stuff.

20/08/2026: We thoroughly enjoyed La Tête Noire, which offers quality home-style cooking, including a melt-in-your-mouth pork rib served with homemade fries and a delicious green tea panna cotta; it was a real treat at a very reasonable price. The owner is very friendly and welcoming.

08/08/2026: Delighted with our lunch at La Meunière! We received a very warm welcome from a very friendly waiter with a great sense of humor. We immediately felt at ease (despite a somewhat disastrous starter 😬🙄) and the air conditioning allowed us to cool down and enjoy our meal even more (I wanted to mention this because we didn't know it was there, and it was a real bonus 😉). From the starter to the dessert, the dishes were delicious. I highly recommend this place. The photos of the dishes speak for themselves. The Lyonnaise specialties are truly magnificent 😋😋 and the portions are more than generous.

02/08/2026: A magnificent and authentic Lyonnais bouchon. The atmosphere is warm and inviting without ever feeling cliché. The welcome and service are exceptionally pleasant and efficient. The dishes are truly hearty, homemade recipes that celebrate the art of cooking in-house—simply delicious! We particularly loved the homemade terrine, the snails, the perfectly prepared kidneys (cooked to a perfect pink), the steak tartare, and the floating island dessert. We will gladly return on our next visit to Lyon.

16/08/2026: The welcome was abysmal. We were sent without explanation to the cellar, which also served as a broom closet. Tables weren't cleared, and the service was extremely basic despite the best efforts of the single waiter who was working alone in the dining room, behind the bar, and constantly running back and forth to the upstairs area. The pâté en croûte was bland, the beef fillet au Marcelin was mediocre and, to top it off, served lukewarm. Very disappointing, especially considering I've frequented several authentic bouchons in Lyon. Not recommended!

22/07/2026: Don’t believe everything AI tells you. It recommended this restaurant as the number one choice for fish and seafood, but it also incorrectly said that it wouldn’t be open until Thursday (today is Tuesday). Fortunately, we hadn’t chosen either of the other two restaurants it recommended, so we continued along Rue du Quai until we came across Auberge des Terre-Neuvas. To our surprise, we found that it was actually open. For our starter, we ordered shrimp with a mustard sauce, followed by octopus as the main course. The food was delicious. The octopus was perfectly cooked—tender and served with a flavorful side dish. The dessert (ice cream) and wine were excellent as well. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and happy to help us translate the menu. However, unlike in many restaurants in France, they didn’t automatically offer us tap water. Instead, we ordered a bottle of water, which we had to pay for. Overall, we had a very enjoyable dining experience and would happily recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for excellent seafood in Dinan.

27/06/2026: Pretty decent spot. They were open before 10am and I saw some other like-minded individuals also drinking beer. So if you're itching for a drink come on through Bit pricey for a draft at €7 and the wifi isn't great but it is France 🐸

24/06/2026: Great ice cream, the service was amazing. So welcoming and kind. This was the best place we stopped at in marseille. I would highly recommend that you hit the cathedral and then stop here. Great ice cream.
