21/11/2025: The food was good, but the service... Oh my god, the service! 😂 We arrived at 8:15 PM and were scolded for being 15 minutes late for our reserved table. They had our phone number, but the response was, "Do you realize if we have to call every time?" The kitchen closes at 8:30 PM. They made it clear that serving us was a special favor. Luckily, the chef took charge and was very friendly.

The desserts are not too sweet and are well-made (rice pudding, madeleines). The strawberry jam they sell is outstanding. A delightful discovery: the almond-coffee spread. A wonderful place. 19/01/2026: A must-visit spot on the border between Maisons-Alfort and Alfortville! Le Petit Caporal is a true neighborhood institution. It offers generous bistro fare and a very friendly atmosphere. Whether you're coming from one side of the bridge or the other, it's the perfect meeting place for a great meal. Excellent service and a warm welcome. I highly recommend it!

05/07/2025: I didn't know it, and I had the opportunity to experience this magical place... Its receptionist is exceptional... a kind word... and you've booked??? And then we see the gentleman... less friendly with men and with ladies, a certain funny courtesy, and we fall for his game... a smile is perfect for this place... an exceptional product that I highly recommend... Thank you, Christophe, for your welcome and a staff that reflects your image.

30/06/2025: Bad restaurant, the dishes are not seasoned especially the beef tartare and the tartare was not good since it was not cooked, there were only the nerves in it which were not edible, the salad the same and the fries were not cooked. The only thing that was good was the beer since it is not the restaurant that prepares it. The waitresses put us in the tarpaulin room inside telling us that it will be less hot during a heatwave, the result is the equivalent of a greenhouse, we ask to go eat outside and it is a refusal, however the other customers who arrived after were able to sit outside with great insistence, for us the air conditioning was not working, after 1h30, they finally decided to open a little and put the foggers because all the tables were leaving.

11/12/2025: A very nice French restaurant. I imagine this is an authentic French restaurant, there is nice service, good food and decent prices. I had a menu with onion soup, entrecote and creme brûlées, it was very good, and you get good and full.

02/12/2025: We were just passing through and looking for a place to have lunch. La Cantine Des Chefs came up as a suggestion and we weren't disappointed! The daily special was good, and I had a carrot cake for dessert which was delicious and very generous (the slice was huge 😂). We managed to get a table despite the crowd, it seems to be doing well! The staff was friendly, the girls were smiling and helpful, it's a great place 👍🏻

22/01/2026: Fantastic experience at this restaurant! The servers are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always smiling. You immediately feel at ease. And on top of that, the food is delicious: the dishes are beautifully presented. I highly recommend it!
