18/02/2026: Superb, recently renovated mountain restaurant. Excellent food. The hot chocolate was incredibly comforting. Warm and inviting interior decor. Professional, friendly, and smiling staff. Yes, it's a bit pricey, but it's not every day you get to have lunch or a drink at 2500m altitude, by a lake and surrounded by mountains. The building blends in quite well with nature, although obviously that's not necessarily what you'd expect to find in the wilderness—that's just my opinion. I highly recommend this restaurant.

01/11/2025: I wanted to go back before it closed in November. A Bresse chicken this time. Everything was delicious, accompanied by a Côtes du Rhône... Thank you for all those wonderful moments with family and friends. I'll miss this place 😢. Best of luck!

01/11/2025: A meal with friends. What amazing food! The flavors and quality were all there. The service was superb, and the waitresses and waiters were very friendly. A place to share and remember. Update March 2025: Still just as fantastic. Despite a busy restaurant, the service was top-notch, and the quality of the food was consistently excellent. It truly is a quality restaurant. Our 8-year-old daughter was with us and was able to discover the inn's cuisine and whet her appetite for tomorrow... Update October 2025: Still just as good! The Bresse chicken was incredible, paired with a glass of wine from the Rhône... I wanted to go back before closing time. We'll miss you.

04/02/2026: Decades of loyalty rewarded with contempt. "Damn it, I don't have a ticket": that's the ill-timed comment from an old man, my father. Obviously, this didn't sit well with the bartender, who chimed in with a pronouncement of "respect," instantly raising his voice, and then resorting to threats. Apparently, my father's life was spared due to his "advanced age, because otherwise..." Otherwise what?? And then, "Be glad, because with my boss it wouldn't have been the same!" The bar is set very high. A little apart, I don't understand the surreal scene unfolding before my eyes, but I'm quickly singled out: "Don't you look at me like that!" I think I tried to defuse the situation by speaking calmly, but the result was: "Leave and don't come back, you're not welcome here!" Astonishingly, just five minutes before this incident, I was praising the establishment to the waitress, who had asked if everything was alright. What a shame, my father is celebrating his 84th birthday today. We've known the chef for perhaps 20 years, and my father has never missed an opportunity to compliment him, nor has he ever systematically left a tip when paying the bill. Today, there was no tip, and I bid farewell to this place, the place of my childhood on the tennis courts, solely because of the overreaction of this overly threatening bartender, who couldn't see the situation clearly and whom I consider unprofessional. How sad.

29/03/2026: It's a family-run seafood restaurant with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The food is delicious every time we visit. The staff is always very friendly, especially with children, which we greatly appreciate. It's a real pleasure for us to share a meal there together; we always leave with wonderful memories.

28/03/2026: A lovely evening with my sweetheart! The service was truly professional (as a former Parisian and regular at this type of establishment...). The welcome from the owner, the assistance, the expertise, and the quality of the seafood platter—everything was perfect. The decor, the thoughtful touches, and the suggestions: flawless. A successful first experience. The only problem: living in Villiers, this establishment is likely to become "Our" go-to spot. The challenge (for you): Maintaining this status. 04/12/2025: The food was very basic in terms of choice and poor for the lunch menu, bland cauliflower quenelle, very tough hanger steak with a ton of coarse salt, and for dessert a yogurt.

The desserts are delicious. As for the service, all the staff are lovely and attentive to the customers. I highly recommend this restaurant.

17/02/2026: A very warm welcome. Quick order processing. Great atmosphere in a lovely setting. Generous, locally sourced dishes at very reasonable prices. We enjoyed a Welsh rarebit with fries and a local beer, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Honestly, fantastic!

22/02/2026: We are regulars at this place and have always been satisfied. However, there was a slight issue today. There was a minor hiccup in the kitchen (which we understand, as it's off-season, so the team might not be fully settled or experienced yet), which wouldn't have warranted a review from us if it weren't for the waitress's behavior/reaction. We arrived between 12:15 and 12:30. Our order was taken and the initial service was fine. The children ate, and we had our aperitifs with a charcuterie board, which was also fine. The rest of the meal was underway (it seemed). We entertained the children, went to play on the beach, and ordered another glass of wine while we waited – no problem so far. The wait got a little longer, but still no problem; the weather was nice, the children had eaten, it was Sunday, and we waited patiently. After an hour's wait, it's true that it's starting to feel a bit long, but we remain relaxed and patient without complaining, because the service was exceptional and the Sunday was exceptionally beautiful; perhaps they weren't expecting so many people. So we say nothing and continue to entertain the children and wait. An hour and a half passes, and still nothing is happening, so we simply decide to get up, pay, and leave. At the register, the waitress understands that we want to leave. No apology, we don't react, and she addresses the kitchen loudly: "We're canceling order 43, they're leaving, but it's not your fault!!!" and she shouts this openly in front of us. Okay, we understand that perhaps the kitchen staff is new and getting used to things, but does implying that it's not the kitchen's fault mean that it's our fault as customers? Then, a polite exchange took place at the checkout where we told our friends, "No, it's for us. We're the ones who told you to come because it was nice, but indeed, we might not come back 😅." To which the waitress had the nerve to reply, "Well, that's fine by us, madam, because it suits us too if you don't come again!" Even though, just 5 minutes earlier, she had agreed to be paid in cash because it suited them (which we didn't mention, being former shopkeepers ourselves, because we could have also reacted and paid by card). Following this, we were still slightly annoyed. It was a lovely, sunny Sunday, which could have been perfect if we had eaten (and even then, it didn't bother us too much since the children had eaten), but to imply that the problem was the customers (who didn't eat) and that it's better they don't come back (we still left around €100 for not eating) and that there's been no self-reflection or apology from them, we have to admit it's a shame. We always enjoyed coming in previous years and find it regrettable to react this way, especially since we were the first to understand that the service might be unreliable on a beautiful sunny February day. Such an unfortunate reaction doesn't exactly encourage us to return. Quandu ùn ci hè piacè, ùn ci hè nunda.

20/03/2026: I was very disappointed with the service! I came to eat today and honestly, I've never been treated so badly. The staff were very sour, not a single smile, I almost felt like I was bothering them even though there was hardly anyone there. I think that given the price of the food, the quality of service should be improved.

13/02/2026: We were the first ones at the restaurant and received a fantastic welcome. The food was absolutely delicious. The service was impeccable and kept up even though the restaurant was full when we left. I highly recommend it if you're spending a weekend in Camiers.

25/01/2026: I would have loved to try this simple and promising cuisine, but despite a completely empty dining room (out of season, in January), the owner politely turned us away, claiming he had no more seats. It was clear he didn't want too many customers that day.
