17/09/2026: I think it's become my favorite restaurant in Paris. Every time I come, everyone I'm with leaves absolutely delighted. Traditional, flavorful food with generous portions. The place is a dream French restaurant: everything you need to end a trip to Paris on a high note!

13/09/2026: First full meal in Paris, ever. This place was located directly across from our lodging for the week. Google gave it 4+ reviews, but the pre-Paris Youtube research suggested that menus in English were no-no's. The front of house was friendly, we were seated immediately as the doors just opened for the evening, but it soon became a full house within 30 minutes. We all spoke "0" French, but our server server spoke some English. Escargot, beef wrapped in puff pastry, fish of the day (cod), Pate, and something sauced (see photos). Writing this 10 days, post-trip. All the food was good, the cod was the highlight, perfectly cooked, crisp skin, tender inside. Very good bread, large Escargot. New Yorkers are a difficult audience to impress and we found ourselves comparing our 1st Paris restaurant and food to Balthazar. To calibrate, the tourist ratio seemed about the same, the food also very similar in quality, but not the menu, where Balthazar has a wider range. Again, the New York perspective influenced our experience significantly. Would recommend as a soft entry into Paris cuisine, from a NY-er perspective. Not expensive, all in about $200 for 4. We didn't order wine after the longish flight. Tax (VAT) and gratuity are included in France, but they will "offer" to let you add more for extra good service. Winky - wink.

25/08/2026: Visiting Ribote for the second time, we weren't disappointed. This little crêperie on Rue Lajarrige (yes, it's best to book ahead on busy days) always offers excellent, generously filled specialties. For something sweet, try the Ribote crêpe, a combination of chocolate and raspberry.

22/09/2026: Delicious meal! We had the charcuterie board as a starter to share between two, so generous it would have been enough for three! The veal tenderloin was a real treat!

13/09/2026: In the Montmartre area (for us, practically below the Eden Monmartre hotel where we were staying), this charming bistro serves original cuisine, marked by a clear exploration of flavors and aromas. The atmosphere is informal and friendly. The sea bream ceviche with purple potatoes is excellent, but what about the desserts? All delicious, especially the chocolate ball with strawberry mousse and passion fruit sauce!

10/09/2026: This is our third year in a row in Paris, and we always go to Bistro L’Olivier. We've always had a great meal, and the staff is very friendly. I can highly recommend it! 😊👍🏼

30/07/2026: I've been three times already and the food is truly excellent; I have absolutely no complaints. The last time I came (a Thursday evening, I think), the service was rather slow. What I noticed the last two times I came was a very strong smell of sweat… Otherwise, the staff is very friendly.

04/10/2026: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent restaurant from start to finish! The chef prepares the dishes right in front of you, using fresh, high-quality ingredients. Everything is carefully prepared, generous, and perfectly executed. The value for money is simply exceptional. The service is also top-notch: precise, attentive, and very pleasant. The restaurant was full this Saturday evening, which doesn't surprise us at all. Reservations are highly recommended! Nothing to add… except: go without hesitation!

02/10/2026: Passing through Maintenon. What a pleasant surprise! An exceptional restaurant! A warm welcome and excellent service despite the crowds. Original, refined, delicious, and generous cuisine. Very good value for money. A must-try for locals and travelers alike. Note: Reservations are required.

09/09/2026: A true regional gastronomic gem that's well worth a detour, situated in a natural and authentic setting. Everything was delicious. I particularly recommend the braised pork loin!

03/09/2026: The dish was excellent; the chef is clearly very talented. The problems were with the portion sizes, which were small and inconsistent between the different plates, even though we ordered the same thing. The prices were high considering the quantity. There was also a major problem with the air conditioning; it wasn't working/they didn't know how to operate it. The oppressive heat unfortunately spoiled the experience. The location is beautiful overall, but the water in the Aveyron River was unfortunately partially covered in algae (nitrates). The servers were pleasant despite the air conditioning issue.

22/09/2026: A warm welcome, the owner is attentive to his customers, and the food is truly excellent! The restaurant is located on a small street, a little away from the tourist center, but it's well worth the detour.

29/08/2026: Honestly, the food was exceptional, the menu offers dishes that are not necessarily usual and very well executed (the skate wing was simply excellent), the staff are very kind and concerned about the comfort of the customers, I highly recommend it!

31/08/2026: On May 24th, we had dinner at "Gosier." For once, we booked at the last minute, and without any trouble, Jean Michel and Sandrine managed to find us a table. (Wonderful hosts!) From the outside, the restaurant might go unnoticed, but the decor is elegant, and the kitchen is open. As customers, you're treated to a ballet of activity in the kitchen and dining room—it's simply sublime. The menu changes every two weeks, so you can go twice a month. The concept is simple: one menu with two or three appetizers, two or three main courses, one cheese course, and two desserts. Order everything and share; whether there are two or four of you, you can almost try all the dishes. The chef and his sous-chef are accommodating and very friendly. Sometimes you might even be lucky enough to see the chef making a rounds of the dining room. A sincere thank you to the whole team; you do a fantastic job. And you allow all your customers to create unique memories and moments. Thank you 🍀

27/08/2026: Gozier has definitely become one of my favorite restaurants and a place I always return to with great pleasure. The ingredients are fresh, seasonal, and above all, truly delicious. The flavor combinations are always incredibly well thought out while remaining generous and indulgent. The welcome is always lovely, the atmosphere warm, and we are always greeted with great kindness (thank you Sandrine and Raul 😊). A truly wonderful place that I am delighted to recommend.

21/08/2026: An exceptional restaurant in Dieppe! We were warmly welcomed and served by a truly charming lady. The mussels as a starter were wonderful, the tripe à la mode de Caen was simply the best I've ever had, and the local cheese platter was excellent. At €28 for a starter, main course, and cheese (excluding drinks), the value for money is remarkable. Authentic, generous, and delicious cuisine: we highly recommend Restaurant du Port!

17/08/2026: I loved our lunch at Restaurant du Port. Located right on the Quai Henri IV with a view of the boats, the atmosphere is fantastic. The menu features beautiful, fresh seafood, as they say, and you can taste it in every bite. Attentive service and an authentic setting. A real gem in Dieppe to share with friends 💛

19/09/2026: An exceptional place. The welcome and service are just as good as the food. A restaurant worthy of a fine dining establishment, we enjoyed every single meal. I highly recommend the mushroom puff pastry with pan-seared foie gras as a starter, which is simply outstanding. Thank you for a wonderful evening with friends.
