01/12/2025: A wonderful evening with friends, featuring truly excellent cuisine, a very pleasant and welcoming atmosphere, and incredibly friendly service. What's more, the price-quality ratio is very reasonable; this is a place open all year round and one we'll gladly return to.
15/11/2025: Disappointed by the food... Lacking in flavor... the side vegetables were undercooked. However, the service and welcome were impeccable.

02/12/2025: We celebrated a birthday 🎂 on November 29, 2025, and it was magical. The restaurant was fantastic 👍🏼 The owner, who also cooks, is incredibly professional; the service and preparation were delicious 😋 The staff is very professional. I highly recommend this restaurant.

12/12/2024: Hello the casserole is still good but downside on the gourmet coffee which was the best in Dieppe and we came for 😏, we were very disappointed the price increased and 2 ice creams out of 5 miniatures which was substantial, 2 mini tarts blah blah? While we only had ice cream before and no longer looked for mini desserts, it was really very disappointing. 😥🤔for 12 euros it's no longer worth it, the gourmet coffee, the popular dessert is no longer 😥.
07/12/2024: We had a great time at the La Barrière bistro, the dishes are excellent and the cooking is perfect. The price is a little high for a bistro, but you get what you pay for, it's very generous and really good! The staff is very nice. We will come back!

The staff is lovely, friendly, and attentive.
While visiting Brest for a week's work, I returned there two nights in a row.
09/07/2025: Very disappointed! We looked for octopus under a microscope, there wasn't really any fish on the menu, service by overwhelmed temporary staff (you have to ask for everything: salt/pepper, bread, water, etc.) and to top it all off, a beer with more foam than liquid, a very contemptuous remark made to Florian who should have done another job, a shopkeeper...
In short, hake didn't please me.

19/10/2024: Regulars of this restaurant, we decide to return there today. We called at 12:55 p.m. to reserve a table, the reservation was confirmed. We make the drive (25 min), arriving there, we are told that they no longer have room because a “large” group had just arrived. Very disappointed not to have been warned and to have made the trip for nothing, since no solution. So one thing is certain and it’s a real shame, we won’t be coming anymore.

10/10/2025: It's expensive for what it is! €42 for a starter, a main course, a syrup, and a coffee. The starter is nothing to complain about, but the beef fillet (a bit questionable) is hidden under a thick layer of onions and mushrooms. It's a shame, the kitchen doesn't seem to lack technique (as evidenced by the pretty carrot rose). The magnificent setting and acceptable service save the experience.
