09/11/2025: I hesitate to share this delightful place where we were warmly welcomed by the hostess, despite the late hour. We were seated near the fireplace and enjoyed the invigorating cuisine of L'Asphodèle, a welcome treat after a sometimes damp walk on the trails of Île aux Moines. Delicious and inventive burgers in a slightly surreal setting. Soft music. We could have stayed overnight; there are rooms available. A dreamy moment on an island.

25/03/2026: Excellent experience at Coquillages et Crustacés in Sète! The team was genuine, warm, and very professional, and the quality of the food was perfect. I highly recommend it! The owner is super friendly!

21/04/2026: Excellent food, very friendly service. We don't come often, but we do come regularly. Last time there were a few minor issues with the bill and the presentation of the meat, which we pointed out when paying. The price is a bit high, but oh well... 🙂

19/04/2026: Nice place. New waitress who didn't know the wines or how to cook meats. In a restaurant specializing in dry-aged meats, that's a shame. Sirloin steak very good. Duck burger very fatty, disappointing. Meat display very nice. No special gesture for my husband's birthday even though I mentioned it when making the reservation.

05/04/2026: We had a very pleasant evening at Le Siffleur. The terrace is lovely, overlooking a quiet street, and the interior is cozy. The wine and food are good, and the prices are reasonable. We had made a reservation because there were five of us, which was probably necessary as there aren't many tables inside.

02/03/2026: We took a short stroll around the resort and relied on online reviews. It was winter, so there were no outdoor amenities, but even so, for a late February day, we were able to eat on the terrace, which was very pleasant. We always make a point of booking by phone or in person. This allows us to choose our table, avoid arriving last, and get the best spot—something you can't find anywhere else. The manager had reserved a table for us in the sun with the headrest in the shade. It was a very thoughtful touch. The selection wasn't huge, but it's much better than having 20 options where absolutely everything is frozen. The two people running the place are very friendly but don't let themselves be taken advantage of, which I think is perfectly legitimate. Paying doesn't give you free rein. In small resorts or villages, whether touristy or not, without this kind of business, it's the death of the village. It is certainly not in this type of establishment that one can make a fortune, but they are the ones that keep a locality alive.

22/04/2026: Good food at reasonable prices, especially considering the touristy area. I appreciated that there were vegetables in every dish, even those with fries. Friendly service. Comfortable, artistically inspired place. Many regulars eat there.

20/04/2026: I really enjoyed the appetizer and dessert set for lunch for 20 euros. Both the tartar and the tuna steak were refreshing with no unpleasant flavors at all, and the duck dish was especially delicious.

26/04/2026: We were extremely disappointed with our evening at this fried carp restaurant. We were expected at 8 pm and arrived at 8:15 pm, yet from the moment we arrived, we felt like we were bothering the owners. Once inside, our table was still missing a chair and a place setting. The entire table had to wait for the employee to finally bring what was needed so everyone could sit properly. An aperitif was also missing from our order. We had barely sat down when the owner called out to us, "Hurry up and order, the kitchen closes at 8:30 pm." And indeed, the kitchen was closed at 8:30 pm. We felt rushed throughout the entire meal instead of enjoying ourselves. The carp was good, but the service was completely lacking. While the carp is supposed to be all-you-can-eat, we were never automatically refilled and had to ask for it. The same thing happened with the green salad: we had to ask for it three times before finally getting it. In addition to that, we had very unpleasant smells of cleaning products throughout the entire meal, which was really unpleasant while eating. Frankly, for an all-you-can-eat carp restaurant, this is unacceptable. Between the cold welcome, the lack of organization, the disappointing service, and the unpleasant atmosphere, we left very unhappy. We will never go back. Fortunately, there are other carp restaurants nearby where the service and welcome are much better, and we will now go elsewhere.

26/04/2026: New experience since the change of ownership. No more daily specials! What a shame. Good food but small portions. For the same price, you'd be better off choosing a good inn between Altkirch and Dannemarie.
