30/06/2026: What a great find! Passing through at the end of my motorcycle road trip, I truly enjoyed everything here. The location, quite secluded in Bois Barbu, is peaceful and perfect for relaxing. I love the layout of both the grounds and the inn itself. My room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped. The comfort is definitely appreciated. The half-board meals are home-cooked, prepared with quality ingredients. The dishes are appetizing and delicious. A garage is available for bicycles and motorcycles, which is a nice touch. A place to definitely remember in the area!

30/06/2026: What a pleasure it was to stay at the Auberge des Montauds! We received a warm, welcoming, and friendly reception that immediately made us feel at home. Located above Villard-de-Lans, the inn offers a peaceful setting in the heart of nature. If you're looking for tranquility, greenery, and a real breath of fresh air, you'll be delighted. It's also a little paradise for motorcyclists. Our room, while modest in size, was very comfortable and perfectly suited to our stay. We also greatly appreciated the shaded terrace, ideal for enjoying the excellent half-board meals, which were generous and carefully prepared. Breakfast was equally delicious, varied, and plentiful—the perfect way to start the day. A big thank you to the entire team for their kindness and hospitality. We wholeheartedly recommend this place and will gladly return to continue exploring this magnificent region. Brigitte & Serge

23/07/2026: I went there for the third time, with my family. Great restaurant. The setting is rustic yet chic. They even have a grill running during service, perfect for grilled meats. The menus and dishes are served in generous portions. Personally, the €24 set menu was quite filling. The restrooms are spacious and clean. A toilet paper holder would be a nice addition. The staff is welcoming and attentive. The price-quality ratio is good.

28/07/2026: TY Gwechall really does make the best crêpes! I had a classic crêpe with a mushroom sauce and a Breizh peanut crêpe for dessert: absolutely delicious! Plus, the staff is super friendly and the setting is lovely: a beautiful terrace with straw parasols. Ty Gwechall means "old house" in Breton, and it's true that it's a charming old building: the interior is all stone (even the stairs). A place you absolutely must stop if you're ever in the area!

02/08/2026: We dined this evening, choosing the classic menu and wine pairings. A truly wonderful culinary experience: refined, generous, fragrant, and original! The welcome and service were excellent. The wine selection perfectly complemented each dish. Kudos to the chef and the head sommelier!

12/07/2026: What a fantastic surprise! We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. The food was absolutely excellent, with a real emphasis on fresh, flavorful vegetables. It's refreshing to find a place where the vegetable dishes are just as exciting and thoughtfully prepared as everything else on the menu. Every dish was beautifully presented and packed with flavor. You can tell the ingredients are high quality and prepared with care. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the overall experience exceeded our expectations. We left impressed and will definitely return the next time we're in the area. Highly recommended!

I don’t fan boy over places often but I’ve considered making Beaune our permanent residence after that meal. If you’re visiting the area, please stop here. Your palette, your belly, and your soul will thank you for it.
