25/09/2026: Small crêperie in Saint-Gervais-les-Bains. Very warm welcome and excellent food. I had a creamy risotto with Savoyard sausages and it was delicious.

19/09/2026: The food was delicious (we ordered rhe risotto with the Diots), the staff very friendly and professional. I really recommend. Remember to book a table!

10/07/2026: A truly natural, friendly, and warm welcome. My husband had the octopus, which was surprisingly good with its delicious hummus accompaniment, and I had a Caesar salad with a proper anchovy dressing, just as it should be. For dessert, a lemon tart with a twist, featuring basil. A delightful surprise! I highly recommend this restaurant. We will be back.

27/09/2026: First day and a lunchtime treat in Bergerac. We didn't know what to expect but our apartment owner recommended here and after a 4am start to our journey from the UK, we needed the Menu du Midi. The amuse bouche gazpacho and the delicious warm popcorn bread with butter salted with seaweed were great. Starter of goats cheese salad and oeuf parfait very tasty and the main dishes of roasted salmon and pork were beautifully presented and filling. The orange cake with sorbet and grand marnier with an expresso, the perfect finale. But for us the highlight was the staff, both waitresses a real delight, so welcoming and patient with my attempts to converse in French but also discreet and professional. It was a great way to start our holiday as we found the people in Bergerac to be so friendly and open. Well done, Chapeau!

31/08/2026: What a great experience, a family business surrounded by a young motivated team. With their only interest is to make you feel like home with their smiles, their availability and their services. Showing always the maximum flexibility for your request. A great place to relax, very nice Pool and Spa surrounded by great Restaurants (Ursus*, Table de Jeanne, DDE) and delicious Boulangerie and Epicerie full of delicious local Products. An Amazing bar with a good selection of Champagne, Wine and Chartreuse (so much diversity in Chartreuse) providing us with the necessary selection to spend great evenings including very nice Cocktail congratulations to the Whitney Team. While the young receptionist was not with the same standard of the staff, she was surrounded by a great team of professionalism from the other receptionists, the drivers, the manager and the directors that provided with the level of services expected in this type of Hotel. Really Thanks to all the teams (Receptionists, Room services, Drivers, Whitney, Ursus, Table de Jeanne, Epicerie, DDE, Boulangerie) to have made our holidays, an unforgettable moments. Best regards

18/09/2026: Passing through Martillac, we were looking for a place to eat and what a surprise! We found "BRASSERIE LE REFUGE" – absolutely fantastic! I had done a Google search 👌. The service was quick, and the owners were lovely. Everything was homemade, from the main course to the desserts. The prices were quite reasonable. The decor was unique and original. I highly recommend it; we loved it and, of course, the food was delicious. The baby squid with chorizo ​​was a real treat ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ flawless, and the blueberry tart 😋 I'll let you taste it for yourselves 🍽

06/08/2026: I had a job nearby for three days and came here for lunch every day. Every day, the dishes of the day change and they're all amazing!! It's hard to make a choice even 😅 But she will help you out don't worry 😁 whatever you order, you won't be dissapointed! I wish I had pictures to share but the food is so tasty, all three days I forgot to take a picture before eating it, that's how good they are..

16/09/2026: Everything was wonderful. I had the filet cooked medium rare and it was just like in the US; not mooing. My husband had the lamb and it was excellent and tender. His was served with incredible macaroni and cheese. Yummy. We had wine with dinner.

08/09/2026: What a disappointment! The €43 Bellecour menu. We think the big name in charge of this restaurant should take a closer look at the dishes being prepared. No originality whatsoever. A very salty starter, the quenelle, also salty, which had clearly been cooked too hot. A very simple mashed potato, probably homemade. No creativity. And above all, a dessert with the grandiose title "Lyonnaise nectarine cake"... a good cake, certainly, but with three hard, tasteless slices of nectarine drenched in apricot coulis. Almost a rip-off for this €43 menu.

06/09/2026: We've been several times and it's always a delight. The presentation of the dishes is superb, the food is frankly excellent, prepared with lots of flavor and a real touch of originality. A must-visit in Étang-sur-Arroux that we recommend without hesitation!

01/10/2026: Our 6th or 7th visit to Thierry Schwartz's restaurant. We had already tried this 5-course menu, but this new version particularly impressed us! An excellent cream soup, incredibly tender venison, a horseradish and vanilla dessert... and much more. A restaurant to visit again and again.

27/09/2026: Excellent and exceptional food and equally excellent service. I found the ambiance, in keeping with the food, to be very natural. However, my personal opinion is that a little more decoration, especially on the tables, would have made the atmosphere more inviting!
