The welcome, the service, and the chef himself are all so unpretentious and kind, which in no way detracts from the exquisite quality of the dishes. Flavors, freshness, and melt-in-your-mouth meat—that's what I'll remember most about this place. See you next year, Chef, and take a well-deserved rest; we're on our own now.

02/09/2026: A wonderful discovery in Thouars! Au Plaisir des Gourmets truly lives up to its name. We had a fantastic time, both enjoying the food and the warm welcome. The dishes are delicious, refined, and prepared with beautiful ingredients. Each plate is beautifully presented, with delightful flavor combinations. A real treat for food lovers! The welcome is warm, friendly, and attentive, making the meal even more enjoyable. You can feel a genuine passion for their craft and a desire to please their customers. An address we wholeheartedly recommend and where we will be delighted to return! An excellent restaurant in Thouars.

29/08/2026: A friendly crêperie with incredibly generous portions – I love their pizza and burger-style twists on classic recipes. And the crêpes are amazing, especially the pistachio one!

23/09/2026: Wednesday 16 September- Absolutely magnificent. Le Sens Unique was one of those dining experiences that becomes part of the story of your holiday. The food was exceptional — beautifully prepared, full of flavour and absolutely delicious — but what really made the evening was the wonderful service and relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. There’s something special about finding a restaurant while travelling where everything just comes together: great food, genuine hospitality, good wine, plenty of laughs and that feeling that you’re exactly where you should be. It wasn’t simply dinner in Paris — it became a memory of Paris. A wonderful evening that Andrea and I will remember long after the holiday is over. Highly recommended. 🇫🇷🥂❤️ Thank you

27/09/2026: A charming coffee place on a picturesque street. They have many tables inside and some tables out in front. Their extensive drink menu offers great coffee and they have amazing looking baked goods. The people there are friendly and welcoming.

19/09/2026: Having come to relax for a weekend in Normandy, we were welcomed—no, welcomed—by this charming shopfront on the port of Trouville. The food was good; however, when it came time to serve our drinks, one of the waiters disdainfully threw the Coke onto the table. This gesture surprised us all, both because of the contempt in his voice, which we hadn't heard, engrossed as we were in our conversations. Then, we oscillated between the terror of asking him for bread, the nudge of our bottoms because the chairs were too far in the way, and the white wine gushing onto the table like a champagne fountain. But make no mistake, we weren't celebrating anything effusionly; it was simply the same waiter who decided to serve us the bottle of wine with the utmost elegance, spilling a third of it on the table. And that's not all. When he asked us for dessert, which we declined, he started impulsively mimicking one of our friends. Then he took away the plate of one of our friends who was eating. A job he's passionate about, I guess… Anyway. It's a shame about the service; everything else was fine.

10/09/2026: A small, charming café that I only discovered after several days in Aix. They also offer simple lunch dishes. The vegetarian lasagna was excellent, and the service was superb. I highly recommend it.
