19/07/2026: The establishment is teeming with flies, and the cleanliness leaves much to be desired. The staff is polite and decent. The food was underwhelming: they use good, expensive ingredients, but everything is prepared very simply, like regular home cooking, not restaurant-quality. Personally, I expected more for the price. I don't plan to return.

02/06/2026: Delicious frog legs. The portions on the menu are particularly generous, and the Chartreuse ice cream is very rich. The owner is very pleasant.

12/07/2026: It's a shame, because there's no consistency. It was good last time, but not this time. All the meat was tough and the cooking instructions weren't followed. The raclette burger arrived without raclette cheese. The desserts weren't served at the same time: one was already finished by the time the other arrived. Finally, all the side dishes were cold. The sauces were congealed and cold. One shallot sauce was actually just water.

14/07/2026: I came for the first time for a birthday celebration without any preconceived notions, and I must say I was very pleasantly surprised by the entire experience. Just a few meters from the Saint-Jacques Saint-Christophe church, the place is very welcoming and warm, elegantly decorated, with a cozy atmosphere. The various dishes and appetizers on the menu are all enticing and refined. From the moment we arrived at the restaurant, the service from your team was impeccable, and the food was simply exceptional (a special mention for the semi-cooked foie gras, which was simply stratospheric). From start to finish, the level of expertise remained consistent: appetizers, main courses, and desserts of equal quality, sophisticated, rich in flavor, and perfectly executed. A big thank you to the entire team for the warm welcome, and congratulations to Chef Ameho, who is clearly a true professional in his field!

The ingredients are high-quality, the flavors are spot on, and the service is impeccable. A huge thank you to the owner, who is a wonderful person: welcoming, warm, and passionate about his work. You can tell he puts his heart and soul into his establishment. I wholeheartedly recommend it; it's a must-visit in Gap! I will definitely be back.

24/07/2026: It had been 23 years since I'd last set foot in Du Gésu, and I found it just as authentic as I remembered. Everyone I'd recommended it to had been delighted, and today I experienced a blend of indulgence and nostalgia. Another excellent experience, a warm and genuine welcome, authentic regional cuisine, real (!) gnocchi, broad smiles... everything we love!

02/08/2026: This restaurant disappointed us because of the service from a waiter who was completely inflexible and unpleasant. He was condescending and disdainful when we asked not to be seated in the blazing sun. After we agreed to move, I overheard his colleague say, "You're too kind." As if we were begging for charity and had to earn a seat in this restaurant. We thought that perhaps the food had to be earned, so we tried anyway. And there, in addition to the completely unacceptable service from the waiter, who even confronted us because we found his tone disdainful, the food was bland, unappetizing, and tasteless. Other customers also complained. Don't go to this restaurant unless you want to be treated like a beggar who has to earn his keep. Go to the creperie a few minutes away instead, we had dessert there (since the dismissive waiter told us we had to order it 1 hour in advance before service ended, which we refused) and the service was great!
