01/10/2026: I've eaten at this restaurant several times, and I'm never disappointed. It's actually very good, with an impressive beer selection; you feel like you're in a saloon in the middle of Montana. They can make a charcuterie and cheese board for an aperitif, and every Thursday night is mussel night with several different flavors. And finally, for the price, you definitely get what you pay for.

29/08/2026: An excellent spot nestled in nature on the shores of Lac des Settons. Delicious traditional Morvan cuisine. Generous portions. Authentic local flavors. We highly recommend this inn, its crapiaux (a type of sausage), country ham, fresh cheeses, and its entire menu, which evokes the flavors of Burgundy. Exceptional value for money.

10/10/2026: A good restaurant with excellent value for money: amuse-bouche, starter, intermission, main course, dessert, and petits fours for €30 at lunchtime. We enjoyed the food and the efficient service on the shaded terrace. This is our second visit, opting for the €52 set menu with the large cheese platter, and it was excellent once again.

27/09/2026: The food was good and well-prepared, and the service was perfect. The ambiance, however, was far too cold: no soft lighting, no fireplace (you'll probably say it's too warm), no background music. I found it a bit impersonal, but the worst part was the reception. Honestly, for a fine-dining restaurant, I think the receptionist completely lacked basic courtesy. For that reason alone, we won't be returning. What a shame.

20/09/2026: Every time we go to Chez Claire in Freybouse, it's a real treat! Everything is always delicious, with refined, generous portions, prepared with great care. 😍 And what about the value for money? The set lunch menu of the week, with a starter, main course, and dessert starting at €18.95, is simply exceptional! 👏 At that price, it's hard to find better… In terms of quality, quantity, and the sheer enjoyment of each bite, no one can hold a candle to them. A huge congratulations to the whole team for this wonderful cuisine and consistently high quality. ❤️

24/09/2026: Excellent restaurant, you can tell everything is homemade, the ingredients are super fresh and very flavorful. We asked for a vegetarian option which was just as good as the other dishes on the menu! A truly complete and delicious vegetarian meal. Everything was very well balanced and perfectly cooked.

01/08/2026: We had a wonderful time at Le Savarin. From the appetizer to the dessert, everything was delicious! 😋 A special mention for the langoustine vol-au-vent, the house specialty—a pure delight. The appetizers were also excellent and perfect for sharing. A truly wonderful place that we highly recommend!

27/09/2026: Very disappointed. The value for money was not up to expectations. The €37 set menu was misleading. We waited 45 minutes between the starter and the main course, even though there were three tables of two of us at lunchtime. After a delicious starter of chicken ravioli, I was misled by the description of the main course and ordered a filet mignon with apples au chouchen. Unfortunately, as the name suggests in French, I logically expected apples (the fruit) as an accompaniment, which I imagined would be sautéed and flavored with chouchen (a Breton mead), creating a sweet and savory dish. But the side dish was nothing more than bland, flavorless potatoes, a few fries thrown in, and a very dry piece of filet mignon. I would not recommend this restaurant to discerning palates.

05/09/2026: Beautiful spot by the church, so in the shade, which was very pleasant during the heatwave. The food is excellent and beautifully presented as well. The brothers are very hospitable and friendly. Highly recommended!

24/08/2026: A spontaneous lunch at this little inn at the foot of the church in Bussiere Badil. Excellent welcome and service, the set menu is excellent value for money. The cuisine is simple with a touch of originality, the seasoning is perfect, as are the cooking methods: - green salad, grilled zucchini, feta cheese - chicken marinated in ginger (just the right amount) - cheese tart and strawberry compote Only fresh ingredients, a real treat! An address to remember!

15/09/2026: A very good restaurant where you can find local specialties as well as Asian cuisine. We were seated and served quickly; the terrace is magnificent, right on the riverbank. We left with full stomachs.

02/07/2026: A memorable stop at Briketenia, a one-Michelin-star restaurant in the beautiful Basque village of Guéthary, France. Once again, I was pleasantly surprised by how accommodating they were. Even though I called only that morning, they happily prepared a vegan tasting menu and found me a table for the afternoon. This was also my first experience at a Michelin-starred restaurant where the service was noticeably slower than expected. It was clear they were dealing with a staff shortage, which extended the dinner by about an hour. These things happen - even at the best restaurants - and the team sincerely apologised at the end of the meal. The cuisine focuses on local, seasonal ingredients, and during my visit it was asparagus and fresh pea season. Both featured prominently throughout the menu, showcasing just how incredible simple, fresh produce can be when treated with care and creativity. The seven-course tasting menu was €134 per person.

13/06/2026: A fantastic spot, facing the Three Crowns and La Rhune mountain. Excellent service and delicious dishes that will tantalize your taste buds. The Basque Country on your plate in a dreamlike setting. So go for it.
