07/06/2026: Very disappointing experience. We had dinner at La Mère Poulard and had to wait 45 minutes before receiving our food. The dishes are overpriced for the quality offered, and the service was below expectations. To make matters worse, after we finished our meal, we were informed that the famous sweet omelette is not served after 9:00 PM. This restriction had not been mentioned to us beforehand, which was particularly frustrating as it was one of the main reasons we chose this restaurant.

The duck breast was incredible, and so was the duck burger. The flan and chocolate mousse were delicious! Everything was perfect! Thank you to the whole team!

26/07/2026: SHOCKED, AVOID AT ALL COSTS I have rarely seen a place with such a lack of humanity. My partner, who has Crohn's disease, politely asked if it was possible to use their restroom, even though we weren't customers. The restaurant owner initially refused, despite the urgency of the situation, and then demanded €10 for using the restroom. My partner clearly explained that it was due to his illness. Afterward, her husband came banging on the restroom door because my partner hadn't greeted his wife. He pointed and grabbed my partner by the collar, saying, "I decide whether I allow access to the restroom, disability or not. It's none of my business if you soil yourself." I don't even have the words to describe the shock of this situation.

05/07/2026: Such an amazing experience. Everyone at the restaurant is so kind. The chef was very welcoming. He described all the dishes and how he made it -brought every dish to life! Everything was visually appealing and also very tasty. The portions were just right. Food is fresh and expertly prepared. Highly recommend this place. (English is spoken.)

22/06/2026: The chef goes to each table and explains each of the dishes on the menu. Very friendly, patient, and enthusiastic about the dishes. Excellent experience. We ordered a glass of wine; the wine was suggested by the waiter and paired perfectly with the dish. We ordered a main course and shared dessert, and there was no awkwardness about it.

19/05/2026: This was our first time, as this type of establishment isn't found in Reunion Island. I thought the concept was brilliant. They offer a wide range of dishes, from appetizers to desserts. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal.

11/05/2026: Nice hotel , big room and great breakfast with friendly service. Unfortunately the bottle of water was empty in my room and the sink needed some unblocking. I guess this was just bad luck.

04/07/2026: We were on holiday nearby and stumbled upon this little restaurant by chance. The waitress spoke little English, but was very friendly, attentive, and incredibly helpful. The menu was only in French, which wasn't a problem at all. The food was excellent, beautifully presented, and the portions were generous enough that everyone would be satisfied. The drinks selection left nothing to be desired. I highly recommend a local bottle of cider – it was absolutely fantastic. If you're ever in the area, be sure to stop by. The specialty was the baby pig confit. The burgers were the highlight for our children. The daily specials are highly recommended. Once again, a big thank you to the chef and the waitstaff for a wonderful evening.
