11/12/2025: My opinion is as valid as anyone else's. But allow me to add a few details. For the past 35 years, I've traveled the world for work at NATO and the ESA. I'm a passionate foodie, practicing culinary arts daily. I also hold a Master's degree in oenology (which I earned concurrently and which enabled me to cultivate my own vineyard in Germany a few decades ago) and have written for various wine magazines over the years. All this to put things in context. I've been a regular visitor to Paris for the past 25 years (our headquarters are there), and I think I've visited the 15th arrondissement at least 300 times during that period. So I know what it had and has to offer. A few months ago, I visited L'Archelle on my own. A place that had been closed for a while and suddenly reopened, with a deliberately simple yet welcoming and warm atmosphere. I was amazed by the quality of the dishes I chose, from the appetizer to the main course and dessert. At the end of the evening, I learned that the chef had left the coastal region of Le Mans for Corsica at a young age to learn the art of Mediterranean cuisine, while keeping his Atlantic roots in mind. His wife is a dessert magician. Her Pavlova is already legendary in my eyes... and I've visited many Michelin-starred restaurants, from Alsace to Paris, via Rome, New York, London, Wales, Brussels, and Our and Paliseul in Belgium (the latter two several times recently). The wine list is also well-curated and offered at very reasonable prices. This brings us to the heart of the matter: what you find at L'Archelle is the fruit of the passionate work of two dedicated and courageous people. They're not getting any younger... which makes their courage doubly admirable. Delicious dishes, every single one (I can assure you I've tasted them all in the meantime), elegantly presented, refined and authentic cuisine, and above all... quality ingredients—that's true culinary art. I hesitated to write (again, after many years) about my culinary adventures, but when you're offered courage, quality, inventiveness, a personal touch, and finesse at very reasonable prices, you can't help but encourage them. So here's a promise/threat... of course I'll be back!! Bart

09/12/2025: The scallop carpaccio is delicious. The leg of lamb is flavorful, wonderful, and a generous portion. We finished with finesse and freshness with a sublime lemon dome dessert. The wine list is original and reasonably priced.

08/12/2025: End-of-year professional event. The meal went very well, the food was good and the service was excellent. The welcome at the bowling alley was fantastic! Thank you to the two people who looked after us; they were very accommodating. No complaints whatsoever.

09/07/2025: Formerly the Auberge de la Plaine, where we used to come every year to feast when we went on vacation, we were already surprised by the new name "Mille Saveurs," which is more reminiscent of a neighborhood Chinese restaurant than a good local restaurant... but that's a detail! Then the wait... very, very, very long, and the tables around it were in the same situation! The menu is more extensive than the previous owner's... but we know that in catering, this requires either more staff, or the price to pay will be a drop in quality... and in fact, the dishes are not very refined... the Caesar salad is greasy (the tandoori chicken is soft and mushy), the monkfish with rice is very average... the foie gras is ordinary... not bad, but nothing special, even though the prices are higher. Where are the differences? The previous owner and his team were very empathetic and jovial (Jean Dujardin's visit is a testament to this). The menu is short and features extraordinary ingredients sourced by the owner (langoustines, etc.), very refined and flavorful sauces, and ultimately, simple but excellent dishes that make you want to come back. Unfortunately, this isn't the case so far. Good luck to the whole team! And to enjoy the place, I read Honesty Bar (found on Amazon), a great, non-violent, "feel-good" thriller... TOP!

24/08/2024: Excellent dinner! The couscous and tagine are excellent. We had a great time in a very pleasant musical atmosphere (Friday and Saturday). The boss is very welcoming and helpful. We will come back for sure!

19/12/2024: If you are looking for a good restaurant, I highly recommend "Le Petit Gourmet". The atmosphere is warm and the dishes are prepared with fresh ingredients. Their regional specialties are delicious, and the service is always impeccable. It's a perfect place to have a good time with friends or family. Don’t hesitate to take a look!

08/12/2025: What a wonderful discovery this little restaurant was! The food was delicious, generous, and well-balanced, with presentations that tantalized the taste buds. The staff were friendly, attentive, and responsive, and the prices were very reasonable. The place is fantastic! We came with our miniature dachshund, who was given a comfortable seat with her own little water bowl. Thank you again for her! I highly recommend it, of course. See you soon!

14/12/2024: Very well eaten. Fortunately: we loved fish. The only regret was not having had the choice of dishes because there were no à la carte dishes. The cheapest menu at 69 euros is imposed. Real lack of choice The other choice being the 7-course menu ???? On small portions??? At more than 75 euros!!! Very friendly waiter but speaks a little quickly when describing the plates. Very hot; in the room; hot radiator!

09/07/2025: We enjoyed the dishes made with fresh produce. The lunch menu is good value for money (€24.50 E+P+D). The service is pleasant, if a bit rushed (aperitif and daily specials are served immediately). A few tables are available on the terrace. A great place to stay.

19/01/2025: We discovered this very nice little restaurant both for the welcome and for the cuisine. We had a pleasant time. We will come back with pleasure. As an added bonus, we were able to eat in peace before heading to the performance hall, a 5-minute walk away. For those who come to see a show, don't hesitate.
