14/04/2026: A wonderful restaurant at a fair price. While in Paris, we went with friends who had not experienced a true tasting menu. They were delighted. The food was great and the service terrific.

08/03/2026: We had a wonderful time at L'Initial. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. The server was kind and helpful and contributed to the good evening. It was calm and quiet which made for a nice evening. It was a far price for a fine dining, 6-course tasting menu-- especially compared to many other places in Paris. For the food, there was not a single course that I did not enjoy immensely, and each course is something I would order again. I loved how the chef was able to take traditional French ingredients (duck, oysters, scallops, smoked salmon, etc) and turn them into unique, modern, and flavorful dishes. The presentation for the food was great, and I liked the unique techniques applied to make delicious foods. It was a good blend of flavors, textures, sauces, and foods that all came together cohesively. The sauces, foams, purees, etc were on point. We had a good evening and we didnt have to fight lines, crowds, or other tourists here. For us it was a nice hidden gem that we found for a nice dinner. Definitely recommend.
