01/09/2026: Clearly the manager has a lot of trouble with negative reviews, so I reiterate and above all I persist, it is indeed at Ajonciere monumental rip-off and arrogant boss, avoid at all costs.

04/10/2026: We went there today, and it's not the same atmosphere at all as it was before when the dining room was on the first floor. Unfortunately, we ended up sitting next to a family with screaming children running around everywhere. Frankly, we came to enjoy a pleasant time and chat. It really spoiled our meal. Just one comment about the cheese board: there were quite a few flies. It would be better to use a cloche to avoid this problem.

Otherwise, it's a lovely bakery, but I don't find it very hygienic having the bread placed directly under customers' heads; their breath spreads when they talk over the baguettes. 🥖

11/08/2026: We had take out so not sure on the atmosphere but we weren't impressed with the food at all. The fried rice was like boil in a bag rice with bits added. Didn’t look remotely fried or taste of anything, and the chicken was boiled to death and was like rubber.

20/10/2026: A truly warm welcome, excellent galettes and crêpes. We will definitely be back! I highly recommend it.

01/08/2026: Opening hours are incorrect. Went there a week. Hasn't been open. On Tuesday, a sign said it would open on Friday at 11 am. Everything closed on Friday. Terrace chairs and tables gone, and the menu gone too. Nothing indicated. Completely closed or temporarily?

21/09/2026: The restaurant has a very pleasant setting; however, the servers weren't particularly attentive, and the food, while good, was nothing special. I ordered the tuna steak, which was slightly overcooked and therefore a bit dry. My partner's Corsican burger was also a bit dry, lacking sauce, and served with frozen fries—a shame.

10/09/2026: The restaurant is nice, the setting is very pleasant with its shaded terrace… The food is good, plentiful, and tasty… the service is not very coordinated, the wait is very long, which is a shame because there are 3 servers, but only 1 is organized… I know it's not easy to find competent staff… We will come back and we still recommend it

04/06/2026: This is a review of just the restaurant, as we weren't staying at the hotel. On a dull, drizzly day in Ste Foy, we were struggling to find anywhere at all to eat. We came across the Victor Hugo by chance. What a great discovery! Charming staff in a place full of locals with a great atmosphere. They managed to fit us in on the last free tables. The food was good quality, but the most impressive thing was the warmth of the welcome. We were the last to leave as they closed after lunch and had a really good chat with the owners - such pleasant people. We would happily have eaten there again if we'd been staying nearby. Merci, monsieur et madame de votre accueil chaleureux.

04/06/2026: The worst dining experience I've had in a long time. The food was poor quality, bland, and completely lacking in flavor. The host came across as arrogant, although I will say that our waiter was kind and attentive. Unfortunately, the food was so disappointing that the entire experience felt like a waste of time.
