15/03/2026: A very warm welcome in a pleasant and inviting setting. A very affordable menu with an excellent butternut squash soup to start – a delight! The dishes are beautifully presented and, above all, delicious. No waiting between courses and a pleasant atmosphere... Perfect from start to finish, and the bill is very reasonable!

06/01/2026: We came to this restaurant for our New Year's Eve meal on January 1st, 2026, for the first time, and we weren't disappointed. The meal was very good without being too heavy, which was a plus! The service was also good, with a pause between each course. We will definitely return on other occasions!

02/01/2026: We discovered this restaurant today with a friend. A real treat! Everything was perfect: excellent food, delicious desserts, and a wonderful decor and atmosphere. Our only complaint is that we were short on time (work) and would have loved to have had more time. We will definitely be back. Thank you for the warm welcome as well.

07/03/2026: Plenty of choice. A must-try pizzeria in Houlgate. Fast service. The base of some pizzas is really too heavy. A shame, I didn't enjoy it. Disappointed. Be aware of the closing days.

16/11/2025: Haven't rated the food as we didn't eat here. The restaurant was busy and when we walked in not one staff member attended to us, we had to literally stop a member of staff to ask for a table for 2. They just shrugged and pointed to a table of 6 nearby. We then had to get more attention to get menus. Then again to order to be told there was no steak left in a rude way. So we just left. There was a noisy atmosphere and a bit pub like at the bar area which didn't make it feel like a restaurant. It is a big place with 2 floors, but they need to have enough staff to cope with the size they can cater for and train their staff better. Whilst we were waiting I noticed others also struggling to get attention and quite a lot of food left on plates, which is bever a good sign.

23/02/2026: Nice setting, fairly simple, quick service, but I'm really not convinced by the quality of the food. You can always argue about taste, but for me, if I take the creamy soup starter as an example, there was far too much cream in the recipe. The fish (sea bass) main course was very good, but again, the sauce had way too much cream. And the dessert, a pistachio cream, was so dense it was like cement, though it did have a good pistachio flavor. The bread: not at all the quality you'd expect from a French restaurant. The price of 22 euros for the starter and main course combo is frankly ridiculous, it deserves a 6-euro discount for the quality of the food. Again, friendly waiters, quick service, but not the food quality you'd expect from a French restaurant. Our gastronomy and our culinary heritage deserve better.

18/02/2026: The menu was very good, but the portions weren't sufficient (especially the lamb chop; there should have been at least two for the price of the dish). A small comment to the chef, who justified the portion size by saying it was cooked thoroughly (but a raw lamb chop rarely weighs 150g of meat on its own without the bone). Also, there was no "classic" meat dish for those who don't like lamb or red mullet (squab wasn't included in the menu). Scallops are an option if you're not allergic. Ultimately, you're mainly paying for the restaurant's beautiful setting, as we were left wanting more.

30/01/2026: We had a wonderful time. We opted for the four-course tasting menu (reasonably priced with two glasses of wine included) and what a pleasant surprise! Everything was perfect from start to finish, with excellent flavor combinations, delicious sauces, and an original dessert! A fantastic restaurant in Le Mans; we'll definitely be back!
